Good Morning Gents. I have a serious issue with my 1993 J30. 2 days ago I went outside to start my car to let it warm up. I moved it from way in the back of my complex to the front so I would not have to walk far with my daughter in the cold. I cut my car off to put in the spare key and when I went to start it back up it wouldn't start. I have tried everything I know to get it started: New spark plugs, new fuel filter, starter fluid in the air intake, anti gas line freeze incase my fuel lines were frozen because it has been about 25 degrees for about 5-7 days, and a new battery. My fuel lines aren't frozen, I'm getting plenty of spark from my spark plugs and coil packs and my starter is fine. I don't know what else to do and I need help. I'm a single dad and my J30 is the only transportation for me and my daughter. If anyone has any suggestion please reply or you can call me at 240-603-8179 that my cell or at my work desk at 202-842-6483. Any help is would be great. Thanks in advance

Nick

Sounds like by turning it off and not letting the car warm up properly you flooded your engine. Pretty common issue for the J in cold weather, I had it happen when it was still new.

DD has probably nailed it.

Always let the engine reach operating temperature before shutting off after a cold start or ooperating it.

Good to hear, next time you dont even need to do that.

Just put the gas pedal to the floor, that lets the computer know you dont want to send any more fuel to teh cylinders then try to crank it. May take a second to clear out the old fuel but it should start right up.
