ok jackass, the insane part, is that it's not my truck, it's my boss's, and it was on a public road during daylight hours, and he was right accross the street in his hotel, I could have been fired, and having never slung that much metal before, I didn't even know what to expect. In my book, that qualifies the event, or my actions as insane.
