first, find some FTP space, or..im sure there are probably some places to store your pics for free. I've heard of Imagestation.com? maybe try using that. I have my own FTP for stuff, so I havent had to use anything like that.

OK I finally watched the vid and that was pretty sick. 1 question though. The guy driving the camera car. Is he the same guy from the 350TT vs. Evo VIII vid?

I'm not going to say that it doesnt take ballsOr that its easy to control a 7500lb anything even in a ****ty powerover.

Or that you are a bad drifter ( have a vid of you)Or that I dont like your car.

But WHAT THE ****? If some kid posted a vid of himself doing that in a 240, claiming it was a drift this forum would tear him apart. Matter of fact, its been done before. We would tear into him for any of 100 reasons, that it isnt a drift, that its wet out, that there is traffic around. So this guy gets a car in a magazine and all the sudden its ok to drift on public roads? In a Very large and very hard to control 4 ton truck no less? This is the single most hypocritical thread I have ever seen on nico. The fact that there are moderators saying good job to something like this pisses me off to no end. Where is NICOs overwhelming safety-first mentality here?

Um....first of all, check the date of when this thread started. Jay posted this WELL before his car made SCC.

Second of all, the reason we would tend to bash your average joe on this topic is because your average joe can't drive. 99% of kids *think* they can drive, but really can't. Jay actually has proven skill, and we know he knows what he is doing. There is no doubt in my mind that Jay had that truck in total control the entire time. If it were some punk kid who posted the message, then I would have serious doubts as to whether they really knew what they were doing.

I saw the date before i posted. He was then and is now a celb in this community.

The vid i have of him drifting is on a track. I'm sorry but i really feel that that sends a message to everyone. He IS that good and he STILL keeps it on the track.

You are excusing his driving like that on a public road because he is an excellent driver. You have got to be old and wise enough to know that there are tons of 16y/o guys in this world that dont see the difference between him and themselves. Its called being immature. As an excellent and recognized driver I just think he should take the responsibility to set the right example. Like the vid I have of him drifting on a track.

Would I trust his drifting on a public road more than some young kid, or even myself. Absolutly. Should he? Absolutly not.

Well, I agree with that. I'm just explaining the reasoning for people praising jay as opposed to jumping his case.

Was drifting on the street a smart thing for Jay to do? No. But the fact of the matter is, we all tend to have a little fun on the street sometimes. This just happened to get caught on tape.

Then we can agree. its the USA and he is free to do whatever he wants as long as the cops arent looking.. I'd just like to see SOMEONE discourage this. I can only imagine how it looks to outsiders or young members.

I wont even pretend that I dont sling my car around in the rain, and i'm sure i am far far less safe than he.. But no one looks up to me or my car.

hell yeah, i used to drift my 2001 F450 tow truck in the snow and rain.

it was tough to hold a long slide because it was geared REAL short. [6 speed manual [5+1] it hit redline in 6th at 95 mph]
