Its funny how they talk about a wrx getting beat by an audio unit. I've never seen someone drive an infinity product down a track. Its a freakin electrical box that spews out sound frequencies. I think they were talking about the infinity cascade model 3V. not a G3,5...http://www.infinitysystems.com...y=US oh well. I love infiniti cars, like many others, but i only hate VW's/audi and Hondas. I don't know about you guys, but you can love and hate whatever you want. You're free to your own opinion. I like teasing people who misspell infiniti though. Its not hard. Infinity is defined as eternity. Time without end. Its not hard to spell the car name wrong, especially when all you see is those letters I-N-F-I-N-I-T-I in front of you as you're getting smoked. Of course when you're awesrtuck you lose focus and as beautiful as the rear end is on an infiniti, it skewers your perception and you lose half your brain capacity to read and distinguish. Damn. I need more booze. Morning buzz is dropping. PPB steve!

There is no way you would find a used 04-05 STi for 16K. Especially back in 07 when this post was made. Thats like finding a G35 coupe for that price lol.

OP it all falls on you. The Legacy is a car far from belonging in the mud, and it isn't up with the G either. It's a middle-ish car, closer to the G than anything.

It also depends on what you want out of a car:

If you want power go with the Legacy. You can make it run alot faster with WAY less money. I got my STi because I planned on making power. I swapped in my SR on my 240 for power but that didn't go so well... bad engine

If you want to have a comfortable "luxury" ride then get a G.

I was comparing a G to an STi in one of my threads before I bought my car, simply because I couldn't decide. It turned into a flood fest of NICO dudes saying you can't compared the two... well no sh*t, that's why I made a thread, to attempt to compare them, not for people to tell me what I already knew. Then I thought a car doesn't make a man. Just cuz you rock a G does NOT mean you're grown up by any means. It does not mean you're sophisticated or anything, it means you have money, and with the price of leggies and STi's, they show you have money too.

A car is a car, period. Get it for what you want. You want transportation and MPG, get a camry, you want power, get an STi, you want leather and nav, get a G.

EDIT:

Just to mix things up a bit...

I would register over there, but it's not even worth it.

This is why people hate on car owners and people that like to mod their cars - BECAUSE WE CANT EVEN GET ALONG OURSELVES.

F'in A...Nissan owners hate Honda/Scoobies, BMW owners think their the s***, MB owners feel elite, Chevy guys think they're better than all...BLAH BLAH BLAH.

It's commentary garbage like this that basically makes our whole hobby look like total horses*** and that's why we get very little support from our surrounding communities.

Do we all want to make our thing better than someone else's thing? Of course...but in the end - ITS A CAR. They all do the same thing - move you from one place to another. We're battling with the government to keep our rights to use our cars the way we want, but instead of focusing on that completely, we're dividing ourseleves because of the whole 'mine is better than yours' bs.

G's are awesome cars. STI's are awesome cars. Camaro's are awesome cars. My Altima is awesome. BMW is one hella ride... Hyundai's suck (j/k...but not really)

We all do the same thing - can't we all just cut the bulls*** and act like adults?

If you just want cheap fast buy a SRT+4 Neon. I see them running uncorrected mid 13's at the track all the time.

If you want fast Lux under 40k the G is the way to go.

WOW you sure do represent the subie community well. You are the definition of a fanboy.

I own an STi, and I would go with a G out of the 2 choices. It's a car dumbas*

bahahahaha

We went Youtube style.

Just finished reading thru the site on the Suby forum.

This enthusiastic summed it up well on their forum.

Yoda2

Some people don't care about just performance, they want a little refinement, luxury, smoother ride, and a little bit of oomphf.

I'm sorry but an STi or WRX has the performance, but little of anything else. Not everyone wants to be a boy-racer so instead of getting an STi they buy a G37. Yes it's true some of them have egos and need to bash on Subies to feel better, but I see Subie owners do that too.

I don't really like fan boiz of any car make (and there are a lot of fan boiz on this site from what I've seen). I think a *TRUE* car enthusiast can appreciate any car for what it is.

Seems to be a well matured, open minded car enthusiastic.

Just read it...nice.

But show me one instance here where people said Subies suck?? That guy made his post there basically saying that's what we said.

G_woods who posted the video (he ALWAYS posts vids whether he wins or loses) didn't even bash the Subie. Some people just don't read..

By entire board I mean the whole controversy in general.

I think he's getting all pissy over just the idea that there could be a different car available. As on here people were saying theres nothing luxury about the legacy which got nasioc all mad haha.

seriously... lol

We have a GREAT bunch of guys/gals here. They say most G owners are arrogant or "guidos" and that we can't afford a G37 so we buy G35's...LULZ

At the risk of sounding biased...I've NEVER met any G owner here who feels they are superior or the least bit "arrogant" Hell, Noah (Beancooker) traded his G in for a Subie.

They must be mixing our NICO G crowd up with the Driver crowd or something.

Nice post. Instead of running around Firebird "raping" people all day long (are you on any sort of police list btw?), you might try investing some time in education. Clearly you don't understand the many uses and intricacies of punctuation. It is also quite obvious that you are a shining example of a potential Darwin Award™ recipient. I'm surprised you can drive a vehicle without opposable thumbs. But hell, if Forrest Gump can drive a lawn mower, you should be able to drive a Subaru.

So please, enjoy your "Rex", keep on falling down the evolutionary ladder (hitting that empty head on every rung), and start writing your acceptance speech for the Darwin™, because you truly deserve it.

I thought he is at age 16 and did not mature well. Now I see his 19. I am speechless.

Honestly, I hate the looks of the subaru. I don't like any of them. That being said, the WRX STi is a beast and can wreak havoc in the right hands.

I wouldn't ever buy one...

They are not bad little under manufacturing average but far from Infiniti.

http://www.jdpower.com/autos/r...brand

Also the resale value not as good as Infiniti resale value. They less equiped.

Also the around average with the dependable study. Pair with Hyundai. But far from Infiniti.

Infiniti also have a lot better residual value. They are the best not sure where Subaru is but not on the best list and not on the orst. So I guess somewhere average. The worst list is filled with Hyundai and Kia. Surprised LOL

http://www.auto123.com/en/news...04063

They get a same mark on safety as the G so that is good.

A friend of mine has the 2 door Impreza, the last one they made, 2.0whateveritis.Fun little car, but it's basically rust holding hands at this point. A real hunk of $h1t if you ask me to have as much rust as that thing does. The WRX is an impressive vehicle, and I've considered one, but if purchasing one means I have to rape people all the live-long day, then count me out.

There was a new Impreza WRX (premium) sedan on the freeway one day and I pulled next to it and we both floored it, it was dead even until we reached what I considered too fast and let off...

I dont think crap would appreciate VW's being categorized with them...I was in a 350z once and from 60+ I torched a super cute EVO. The EVO and WRX are 3Ds (come to think of it, so is an S2K b/c of sentra-like torque) and thats why a V6 in your G can take it on highway speeds. The Evo's gearing is incredibly short too.... If you put a 3.73 rear end on your G you can cut half a second from your quarter mile, but you'll want to stay in the 60's on highway cruises if you want over 20mpg.
