That first pic is amazing, how did you make it so you could see threw the hood. Your car looks sick, I am really likeing the splitter on the black.

i think he took 2 pictures one with the hood closed and one open and photoshopped the hood open out of the picture and then gave it a translucent look. idk just a guess. like his car though!

Thanks mate! The metal rods are the turnbuckles that are supposed to help keep the splitter in place at high speeds. I kept 'em on for the aesthetics! I angled them such that the lines are in keeping with the slant of the sides of the grill.Hotness.

I had a couple of shoots in the Okanagan so I figured I'd take some time out for myself on snap some off by...erm, that lake that's between Kalamalka Lake and Okanagan Lake... I think it's called Wood Lake, but I might just be on crack...

Thanks Doc! I was torn between it and the front lip, but when my fiancee saw the pics of the splitter on yours she was pretty set on it!

love the HDR shots... thinking about getting your tails tinted? would make the whole stealth theme come together a bit more, imo.

I'd like to, but I'm unsure how it'll hold up in out -40 weather up here... I'll have to talk to Bat about that...if he says it'll be okay, I'll definitely look into tint for the rears and possibly a GTR overlay for the fronts (partially translucent 'cuz I'm getting those sexy projectors w/LEDs!!!)

ESP how you been?!?!Youre talking about my Z looking good...that coupe is where its at. And those photoshop skills in the first pic are extreamly impressive . I know what you mean, they way you have irrational thoughts of buying a Z instead of your a/c, i have practical thoughts of buying the a/c instead of the Z. But in the end, i bet we both love looking at our cars sitting in our driveways. Good to hear from you again, ttyl bro

Erm...I can't remember... It was either my old 20D or my 40D. I know I used my 28-70mm 2.8L lens though! My settings? Seeing as they're HDR that's kinda hard to pinpoint. I believe I was stopped down to f/11 and had +/- 2EV. Shutter probably in the range of 1/200th as it was a sunny day.

- EDIT -Yeah, it was the good ol' 20D cuz my monster 70-200mm stays on the 40D pretty much all the time when I'm on location!

hehe...well, I was meeting up with some other local car guys and I wanted to have the 'stache painted before I went. Unfortunately, I was really busy for the entire week before and didn't have time to prep and paint them properly. I just made a couple of quick coats with Krylon Fusion glossy black the night before...consequently, after over a month of driving (Calgary to Vancouver, then back again) they've started to chip. I'll be sanding off the chrome and do a proper primer/paint this weekend!

Nice! The front wheel is bit dark though...I find white cars always look the best in HDR as they seem to have the best tonal ranges. You should experiment with some more.

ESP,

Mind if I steal your "transparent hood" idea?

Car looks amazing. I'd still take the STI over yours though

MIKE!!!Between university and the studio my free time is all over the place. It's best to give me a time when you're free and I'll do my best to work around that...we gotta get that car of yours dropped!!! We should try and coordinate with LegendRacer so I can help him out with his too.Hope your dog is feeling better!
