When I took my car to the shop to get my mustache painted, I figured he was going sand down the crome and prime and paint. Apparently all he did was spray a Rhino Lining on it instead so the paint would adhere well. It came out beautifully, plus I'm guessing it was much less labor wise to go this route. If you're taking it to a shop to fix, you may way to try this method.ESP wrote:hehe...well, I was meeting up with some other local car guys and I wanted to have the 'stache painted before I went. Unfortunately, I was really busy for the entire week before and didn't have time to prep and paint them properly. I just made a couple of quick coats with Krylon Fusion glossy black the night before...consequently, after over a month of driving (Calgary to Vancouver, then back again) they've started to chip. I'll be sanding off the chrome and do a proper primer/paint this weekend!
