Englishtown NJ - next wed - 8/30 - mini drift event

Hey, any of you guys coming to Etown wed? Would love to see some of my vert brothers out there. My homey Nick and I are going to do a couple runs on the mini-drift event. Basically, I want to get a good idea of exactly where I will start with the suspension work - plus, I need the practice. At least come to see a VERT in drift action!

Every last wednesday, of every month, until the season ends - is a dedicated mini drift event. Please come out. Would love to see more fellow Nico guys there.

Niice! ill deffinitly be there..im gunna spread the word to some people around me wit 240's..o yea is there ever anyone at etown that changes tires...i got alot of tires that will fit on my rims but there not mounted yet. ( im still new into drifting) and also do u have any pics of ur 240?

About the Tires and wheels: Not that I know of - most guys just bring extra sets of wheels/w tires mounted. However, I never really looked around for that.

About time: I usually get there around 6ish. However, probably 4 being the earliest is a good bet. If anything, you could hang out on the other side of the track, where all the drag racing goes on.

yea that ill prolly be there by like 5ish...what kinda **** do they look at when they spec ur car? someone told me that they do a spec.

Dunno - I'll find out tomorrow. I actually never had my own car spec'ed. But, I'll ask my buddy Matt (who runs the event) tomorrow.

Aiite, for those of you interested, here is tech spec:

1) NO FLUIDS should be dripping from your car - whatsoever. No exceptions.

2) Battery must be properly tied down. Either OEM or aftermarket bracket.

3) NO loose suspension parts - This is a visual inspection. Basically, just be sure that when you are drifting - nothing has a chance to fly off your car.

4) Make sure stuff doesn't fly out your car.

Some obvious things that are not really listed: You shouldn't have anything in there that will cause you obvious harm due to harsh cornering. For example, those of you who did a door mod (like me for example) should have the door covers on so the sharp edges don't hurt you.

i saw u there last night...u seem pretty nice wit it....i duno if u saw my car in the parking lot..but on the ride up i blew my gasket between the turbo and the manifold..so it was just running like ****...at the time i thought the turbo was shot..but i found out today that its the gasket.

DCM - you are mistaken, as I can't drift for ****. I'm still a newb. Who you probably saw out there taking charge was Nick - owner of AutoXtreme MotorSports (www.autoxtrememotorsports.com). That bastard is good...he co-directs the Event.

Anyways, when I said 4 out of 14 were sh*t, that's b/c I meant when I was driving! I only did about 4 laps.

Some things to def note, as I was suprised by the outcome (and let this be truth in stone to all you vert guys):

For a weak *** track setup (all I got is a set of Tein Flex's and a strut bar in the front, stock LSD), the VERT WILL DRIFT with a capable driver. It took Nick about 3-4 tries to get it right, but after that - he was hitting every turn good.

That said, I need to start hocking more crap on Ebay and replace the Entire suspension. I mean, the thing needs everthing (but I knew that even before I went out there...) replaced...bushings, arms...rods...etc.

Also, next time don't be stranger man - say hello! (PS: I didn't notice another vert out there...or did you mean the hatch in your sig?)

ur vert looked clean as hell tho...keep up the good work...but next time im deffinitly gunna be drifting...hopfully ill have my gt2871 in wit injected and etc...and i might have a LSD by then to sooo it should be sick...but next time im there ill stop and talk to ya. u got any more pics of ur car?

No, they do not require rollcages - but for those that did pillar mods - make sure you got a seatbelt somehow...or harnesses...my getto rig for harnesses was allowed.
