Had the fuel rail flush done at the dealership, Monday. Filled up Tuesday, then filled up again last night. 304 miles, and 13.88 gallons for an average of 21.9 MPG

I realize this is just the first tank, but I have been running around 19.6 to 20.2, over the last 50,000 miles.

Iwill keep you posted, as I fill up, again, on Friday.

Here's the next 2 tanks of gas for Baby:

315 miles 15.2 Gallons 20.7 MPG (some in-town driving, and a few 110 MPH romps on the interstate, no WOT starts or passes)

396 miles 18.6 Gallons 21.3 MPG (mostly interstate, with about 50 miles around town, one romp to 125 MPH, no WOT starts or passes)

I am still happy with the results. My idle is still right at 600 RPM, and smooth.

I will get rid of the Bosch Platinum +4's in about 2 months. I want to get the full 60,000 miles out of them (I have a warranty, and might just send them back to Bosch, with a letter about their lack of improvement, over the factory-specified NGK plugs). I can't help it, I'm cheap!(frugal, penny pincher, mizerly, take your pick).

I plan to remove the plenum, and do a thorought toothbrush cleaning soon.

Watch out for methyl alcohol as it destroys certain rubber and reacts with aluminum [breaks down the self forming protective corrosion film].................they don't tell you that when they sell the less expensive methanol which only absorbs 1/3 the water the pure isopropanol [isopropyl alcohol] does.

Methanol is a left over from the days of carbs!
