Excellent post. I think alot of us can relate to a loss in finances, be it a layoff of credit issues. Stress makes us all react in different ways. We all freak out sometimes man, thats normal. I do it all the time...lol.

Nico is a large family, I have more friends here then I made in my 13 years of military service. You don't have to change who you are, just remember that the internet doesn't show emotion real well. So people may often take your typed words ALL wrong. Happens to me quite often

Glad you are interested in helping out, the DIY guys can always use advice from people that have "been there, done that".

Brian having a meaningful post? Though I'd never see the day..

Hey, sorry for adding fuel to the fire. I remember when my dad (a Nissan tech) was laid off in 1993 amid the economic crisis of the early 90s. He made very good money, and was highly skilled in his trade, but despite all that, it took him almost ten years to recover from it. We lived the good life... and then... WHAM! But we still managed, despite it all. We ate out less, got rid of cable TV (this got me outside more often, so it was a good thing). My dad never really bought me powerful toys... but he did enjoy teaching me how things worked and how to fix them when they didn't. Using this (and his fully stocked Snap-On tool chest), I bartered with the neighborhood junk man and scavenged his yard for fun things to fix. When I was ten, I had a moped, minibike, lawnmower (and several customers), three computer systems, a full TV and VCR setup in my bedroom... all stuff I scavenged and fixed myself. So you can easily turn a bad situation into a good one; and maybe your kid isn't as down on you as you might think... I know I admired my parents for all the sacrifices they made for my sister and I, despite living in a tin can of a mobile home and dining on Mac n' Cheese for almost ten years while they worked hard to keep the bills paid. In conclusion, I'm glad we can all put this behind us. Niss-On!

Even if we had some opinion differences in the past (btw, I buried the hatch for now ), I didn't see you in this thread so I was worried for

Thanks guys for the forgiveness, its good to be back and glad things are back to normal. The whole kids in the back seat I can relate to....with 2 younger brothers, so I was always picking on them, but they always teamed up against me, they still lost. Lmao

Apology accepted Marc, Welcome back.

The only stupid question, is the one that is not asked.

Hopefully things will turn around for you and your family.

If the Alberta thing doesnt work out, Saskatchewan's still booming.

Must be nice to finally not have to hear "Saskatchewan? Last one out turn the lights off."

It is really nice to see our province doing well. Potash, Oil, Uranium, diamonds, gold, wheat, mosquito's, you name it we have it.

Taxes are finally going down, population is going up. If it wasn't for the cold winters a lot more people might think about moving here.

As I've said on here before, I miss Saskatoon. It really is a beautiful town/city.

However . . . my wife once told me that I could move back there . . . but I'd be going alone.

So . . . I'm still here

Actually, Ottawa is comparable to Saskatoon in many ways, with water, bridges, green space . . . though the UofS puts Ottawa U to shame: green grass vrs concrete! However, the winters aren't as bad here!
