Im looking in to doing an engine swap. I got a lot of questions. Do all these engine require new motor mounts? Which is the most resonable expense wise? I currently own a 98 auto so i know i need my pedals redone. Will i need to put in a new exhaust with the engine? Thanks for any help you can give me guys

I would suggest you do put in some new motor mounts. If your putting in either of those motors, your gonna need a 3" exhaust to make the motor breathe easier.

Ok thats what i thought. Im pretty sure im gunna go with the sr20det. Red top is cheaper by a grand but i know im supposed to but in the black top. I was told the sr20's dont need new motor mounts is it better with new ones?

CA18DET

Cheapest to buy, cheapest to mod, and better design over the SR.

Slowly. I haven't had much time to work on it with relatives and christmas shopping.

I should have a few evenings coming up that I can sit down and do some fact gathering to get it started
