Hey guys im new to this site and don't know my way around yet. I bought a 1990 300zx twin turbo about the end of the summer. after purchasing I found a bunch of things wrong with it including a turbo leak on the passenger turbo. iv decided to pull the eng to replace the stock one with the t28 turbos. im also planning on doing injectors a tune I already have a stage 2 racing, clutch custom down pipes ect. but so far I attempted to pull the eng and after the whole weekend of working on it its basically out just got to unhook the oil cooler line that I could not get to considering im doing this in my garage on jack stands.

That's not bad at all for your first time, especially on a Z32!

You have to upload them to a different website first, like PhotoBucket, Flickr, facebook, etc. and then use the [img]url[/img] tag/button to post pics

ya got her out now I got to rebuild and investigate I notised once my car was warm I started blowing smoke out one side of the exhust and I found oil in the intake manifold so im thinking turbo forsure. I did a compression test befor pulling the eng and it was between 140 and 150 psi each cyilinder

compression should be good. As far as the turbo, just get new CHRAs for both while you have it out. ConceptZPerformance is the best price that I've found. Go OEM, no rebuilds as they are too risky, you get some saying they've been ok, and others who blow quickly. Not worth the risk IMO

Cool deal! My $.02, save up and buy new CHRAs for the turbos. Rebuilt ones never last. It will run you about $800 for both, but you will have new turbos!

ok guys I found what chra I need on ConceptZPerformance now when I was on the phone with the guy I asked him why my t 28 turbos could have failed...he asked me if I was running the original oil lines to the turbos which I was ... he said that is bad for the t28 ball bearing turbos because the stock lines on the car will over oil the turbos and cause them to fail over time and recommended buying the breaded line kit on there site so I just wanted to let you all know if u have stock lines but upgraded turbos to be aware
