I wouldn't worry about the legality of your engine. As far as I know if you're not in cali you'll probably pass the emissions.(I could be wrong though). I mean, I'm in Missouri and when I get emissions tested, they don't pop the hood or anything or even look under the car. So if I had a jdm motor I think it would probably pass. I guess it depends on the state standards an all that.

But somebody who has a jdm engine will tell you for sure.

#1 - search. your obviously just being lazy.

#2 - no JDM engines, engines your car didnt come with, or engines never sold in america are legal for use on public highways. you want a motor swap? do it. will it be legal?-no.

stop complaining about the legal aspect of it, because its not legal.

OK?

Try running a search, on "legal engine"

This thread is old hat, used and abused...and now it's shut down. All answers are out there, you must search them out.
