I went to an audio shop over the weekend to pick up some 4 gauge wire and they want $2.50 per foot! For two 5 foot straps that is $25 and I would still need to purchase hardware, how is this saving money?? Did I just happen to find an overpriced shop or what?

^ buy welding wire. its higher quality.

4/0 (4gauge) wire is $12 for 25feet.

you dont want your grounds longer than 18 inches. the shorter the better.

oh yeah.. if you just want a few feet.. most welding shops will just flat out give it to you.. they got spare wire laying around usually.

You got that right....I work at Airgas. We sell a bunch of welders and welding supplies. I used welding wire for my trunk-mount battery and from the alternator to the fuse block.

It is very high quality wire...consider how much power a welder requires.

But, much to Tom's dismay I'm sure....I also have the HKS Circle Earth System...but only for show and because everything else on my car is HKS.

I think everyone that wants to spend UBER money on such easy, basically free, quick mods, should just give their money to me ;) i'm an honest, hardworking student ^_^

it never hurts to be resourceful! Then when you have an awesome, working, finished product, there's *so* much more to be proud of. ie: if someone *made* a nismo style bumper from scratch i'd fall over stupid in awe. It's just that much cooler than someone that just bought one and bolted it on.

I got my kit for 30 bucks on ebay. No I didn't make it but I put it on and I had no clue what I was doing. I learned a few things doing it too. It was a fun little project for me and if I would have made it myself it would've taken too much time. I'm a student and I work full time.
