I have not decided on a color yet for the block and the covers of the mighty mite I am building for the 180. I have seen some wild stuff but I am sure I have seen 10% at best of what is out there. Post up pics of non-original motor color schemes on the CA and drop any ideas or "I would love to see,,," kind of stuff. The sky is the limit, this will be one of the last decisions I will have to make so I want to do something fun and original.

The color should look good with a rod sticking through it in case I screw up the build and it goes BOOM!

Dark-ish gray of some sort on the engine block rather than black would look nice, but color schemes are really a in the eye of the beholder type thing.

my motor is coming out soon for a rebuild, i plan to clean it up(block) and keep it natural iron looking for a clean finish, along with my current pink/purple valve cover combo, haha i like being in the un-usual side. pink and purple draw attention to make the motor look "gay", but then they dont realize the turbo, lol

You'll have to come over some time. Still need help with it. I have been busy getting the motor swapped in my AE86 so I can drive it around though. Should keep me entertained until the CA is ready to drive.

I went for A green that looks exactly like the older Kawasaki racing green/ semi-gloss black for other components aswell as the block. Looks really good in person with a high-gloss black engine bay. The intercooler piping is in a krinkle green that matches the rest.

I like it and thats all that matters.....

I was thinking of doing it the same colour as the car, but I decided to go the complete opposite to make it interesting. It would still be a cool colour....

I thought about green but I have seen your motor and you did it well so I would say that color has been represented.

dupont makes a "safety orange" that is really cool. Its a bright fluorescent orange that glows under a black light. It would scream at people from your engine bay, and I have not seen anyone with a similar color to boot.

I do too, I am not a hood popper. You guys see more of my engines than most people that stood next to it every saturday night. Those nosy types used to piss me off. Worse than paparazzi.
