I lived in japan for about 5years or so and found the hobby of collecting ca18 parts.. the cover was brand new in box.. anything can be found, which meant the collecting got a bit out of hand
anyhow... have a click on my sig link to see more info about the build
what did you due to prep it? sandblast or just sand it? im going to paint my intake mani. probably an aluminum color just to freshen it up a bit.CakeEater wrote:I went for A green that looks exactly like the older Kawasaki racing green/ semi-gloss black for other components aswell as the block. Looks really good in person with a high-gloss black engine bay. The intercooler piping is in a krinkle green that matches the rest.
I like it and thats all that matters.....
I was thinking of doing it the same colour as the car, but I decided to go the complete opposite to make it interesting. It would still be a cool colour....
man that looks so awesome hehe i want those :PThe_Chosen_One wrote:Check this cover I did for a customer.
OEM covers have a dull red coating. It may be some particles on the cover that may cause it to look like metallic, like possibly metal shavings.Ghost_silvia wrote:My valve covers are red but if they hit the sun just right they have a metallic flake in the paint. Just wondering if this was normal or if the person before me repainted it.
