You lucky bastard, where did you find a real deal HKS coil cover? What is going on with your intake, does it distort space and time or something?

There were a couple of those coil covers on eBay a while back, but they were going for an exorbitant amount of money.

niscort, your engine is hot to death!

cheers for the comments... Im wanting to keep the intake on the quiet side until its all running.. meaning I have to finish the car.

I lived in japan for about 5years or so and found the hobby of collecting ca18 parts.. the cover was brand new in box.. anything can be found, which meant the collecting got a bit out of hand

anyhow... have a click on my sig link to see more info about the build

I know people are going to give me a lot of crap for this but Niscort, that is probably hands down the sexiest CA I have ever seen period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice freakin build man, I don't think anyone has a CA that just stands out like that one. Interesting valve covers as well:)

CakeEater wrote:I went for A green that looks exactly like the older Kawasaki racing green/ semi-gloss black for other components aswell as the block. Looks really good in person with a high-gloss black engine bay. The intercooler piping is in a krinkle green that matches the rest.

I like it and thats all that matters.....

I was thinking of doing it the same colour as the car, but I decided to go the complete opposite to make it interesting. It would still be a cool colour....
what did you due to prep it? sandblast or just sand it? im going to paint my intake mani. probably an aluminum color just to freshen it up a bit.

I painted this KA "ford engine block gray" I believe? The gray block should contrast everything nicely in the engine bay vs. a black block.

My valve covers are red but if they hit the sun just right they have a metallic flake in the paint. Just wondering if this was normal or if the person before me repainted it.

OEM covers have a dull red coating. It may be some particles on the cover that may cause it to look like metallic, like possibly metal shavings.
