SR is god (especially in 2.2-2.35 liter) we have used all variants except for vg30 crap..... The SR offers the best bang for buck and the sweetest chassis dynamics.

The RB26 in our current car is nice but the built SR that was in it previous made for a better overall car.

Rb20's are a waste of engine bay space, unless you were na 1.8l to start with.

I personally like the SR. I've had mine for 2 years, and after it was tuned at stock boost i put down 220 whp. I think its a very reliable motor at moderate levels, it drove me from Raleigh, NC to Houston, TX with no problems. You can find parts all over the place for it and more and more place are working on them. But when you swap a motor you have to worry about inspections and emissions and things like that. So check out what the laws are around and see what you can get away with on the street. In NC, if the car is made before 1996, you only need to pass a safety inpection, so i had no trouble getting the car inspected. Here in Houston, I'm dead in the water. The car will not legally pass. So i left the NC plates on.The SR is a great motor and with enough money and work can put out 300whp+. Tourque is a little light, but once you get turbo spooled up, you quickly forget about it and worry about making the next shift (redline comes really fast). I can't give any feedback on a KA-t or RB because i never drove one, but the SR is light and has plenty of power potential, not to mention it came with the 240's (silvia's) in Japan so the fitment is there. Well best of luck.
