Oops, I forgot. Need to add that to my components list.

Motor mounts were....not 240. So the motor's sitting only on one mount in the picture.

BTW--best use of an emoticon EVAR.

4x4 ? I believe you stated you had Stance GR+ Coilovers? Hows that 4x4 ?

Or was that a future purchase?

Nice I can't wait to see more pictures. You sir are doing a good job and you have a good list of parts. I have my bet on it turning out pretty good.

Stances are on order. Getting the thing running first, then will do the 5-lug swap, RUCAs, rotors, pads, coils, and put on the shoes after.

Before people start complimenting me on all my good work, I'm having a shop (Touge Factory, here in Chi-land) do everything motor- and wiring-related. All the probs the car had when I bought it were above my current wrenching abilities/tool inventory/shop space. These guys know their sh*t, and that'll leave me patience and time to do all the other things (suspension, interior, etc.)

I'd rather be flamed for not doing the work than flamed for taking credit for someone else's.

Thanks, Dale, but I'm keeping the body as-is (eventually cleaned up and painted, of course). Since the redtop came with the car when I bought it, I'm good.

There might be a strawberry-face in my future, but it won't involve this car.

Update

Okay, so after a winter of discontent being too much of a pansy to beat on the rear suspension with the required amount of brutality, I set to work this spring with a big hammer and an overzealous sense of purpose. I was either gonna fix it or break it, whichever happened first.

First up, LR suspension. To-dos:

1) RUCA

2) 5-lug hub

3) Rotor

4) Pads

5) Stance GR+ Pro Coilover

Well, slight glitch in that the CV joint boot was sliced all the way around.

So instead of a simple hub swap, I had to completely disassemble the entire suspension down to the half-shaft. It was a b*tch, but got it done.

While I was in there, I found that the lower ball joint was buggered at the top of the threads, so even though I could get the nut off, I couldn't get it back on again. I spent about 2 hours with a tiny carbide file trying to re-sculpt the thread pattern but no luck. Ordered new LCA. (Nissan doesn't sell the ball joint by itself )

While waiting for parts, I got to work on the front:

1) Hub

2) Coil

3) Rotor

4) Pads

This was straightforward and easy as pie. Took about an hour including dry-time for the brake-quiet to set up. Had to do a bit of shade-tree engineering to push the piston the rest of the way into the caliper (the Hawk pads are massive cause it's an ABS car) but got it done. Put on my Enkei RPF1 17 x 9.5 +18 to test fitment -- no spacers needed! -- will be hella flush once the car is lowered. Right now I'm setting the coils to stock ride height so I can lower everything at once.

Hawk Pads

Big Stack of Win!

Wheel on (still 4 x 4)

Hella Flush

Interior King, yo!

My throne:

Sorry, Bart. I put my whole update in quick reply and when I hit "post" I got a "post invalid" error message. So this time I bumped and then edited. Update above.

Reading pwnz joo, mate. And unless they were wire, the word would be "wheels", not "rims".

I guess that's a good thing, because I wasn't telling a joke. I'm hoping that you were, though, because who comes in and shi*ts on someone's build thread without even reading it first?
