Ah, didn't realize that vehicle had a separate fan.

The temperature sensor is easy. Pretty much plumb into the outlet from the engine to the radiator and install a bung. In that bung you will install a temperature relay. It should probably be set to ~220 degrees.

Nah, the probe that comes with the fan controller just needs to be stuck inbetween the fins on the radiator.
To set the controller to the temp wanted... Warm up car to desired temp, adjust the knob until the fan turns on, done! It'll always turn on at that temp now.

As for the a/c fan one, wire the e-fan to the same wires the a/c fan was using, done!

No problem!
People like to use Altima fans as well.

I believe Tauruses move a bit more air but take up much more power, but since you have many alternators and batteries, that should be no problem. :D

I don't know if I'd want to use a sensor placed between the fins.

This means that you're going through:

Water jacket - coolant - radiator fins - sensor

I would prefer to cut down the steps as much as possible. This will allow a more accurate reading.

Probably doesn't matter though...

It's made for being placed inbetween the fins.
And you're not going off a specific temp you set it on, you can't see it.
The adjustment knob has no markings.

You're setting it so it turns on at w/e temperature your sensor is at when you car is warmed up so its fine.

So much hassle!
This is why I went back to stock. :P

Ah, got ya.

And wait a minute. The fans aren't supposed to be on when the car is at running temperature!

It's supposed to run when it goes a percentage above that temperature. If it's a 212 nominal system I'd kick the system on at 220 with a minimum runtime of 1 minute. But hey, why complicate things... right?

Yeah something like that.
Blah blah, complicated temp stuff.

I'll let Nissan sort it for me. :P

Indeed.

I have to wonder how often the OP is in the engine bay that more space is needed. And especially if that's worth the hassle.

Its not so much that Im in the engine bay alot and my hands need room. Ive added an extra alternator on the driver side of my engine and 3 runs of 4/0 power cable are quite bulky and by eliminating engine driven fan and shroud I gain ALOT of room.

Just about 5 minutes ago I installed a water temp adapter in my upper rad hose, Im gonna wire up that gauge now and see exactly where Im at temp wise, and go from there.

I think I may just buy a 16" electric that I posted a few posts up for the main as a puller, and mount a 10" on the front of the ac condensor as a pusher when the a/c is being used

I'd buy a dual fan + shroud combo though.
Best e-fan setup in my opinion.
