ah. I thought you were talking about using polls instead of votes because the people who did not spend the effort to vote were disenfranchised by their very own actions.

Nope. I'm talking about not supplying the motivation to throw you out of office.

Other savings areas:

1) End the practice of refundable tax credits. If someone is eligible for a tax credit of $2000 lets say, and they only owe $1400 in tax, why should they get a check for the other $600? The credits purpose should be to lower their tax burden, not give them more income.

2) Lets take a hard look at what we are spending over seas and if its necessary. Im all for sending food to starving folks but aside from that why are we spending anything else overseas. What about rebuilding in Afganistan and Iraq? Well its understood the wars really set us back, but we just sit here and ask or demand nothing in return for the actions we took. The notion of taking oil as payment was demonized. Why? I never understood that. Sure that may feed the "war over oil" conspiracy theory, but so what, screw those instigators, lets get some repayment for the blood and sweat we poured over there.

Who exactly? Last I checked, we initiated both wars pre-emptively. The blood that was poured was pretty unilateral, that is unless we lost 100,000 US soldiers during the war, and I wasnt told.

I think he's referring to those who say we initiated both wars primarily for oil.
