Okay. I did search for 3 hours but no CLEAR answer yet!

I'm gonna get altima fan.

problem is (I have S13 KA24E) if i hook it up with Stock A/C fan, it might not turn on when A/C is not on.

Second problem, if i just hook it up with 30a relay with fuel relay as an trigger, I get two extra problem: Altima fan did not made to run 24hr/day. And Car will not warm up fast because of fan.

Third, stock temp will turn on fan at 210 degree something. that's too hot. i want something like 150 to 170 degree.

Dang. help me guys. anyone has better IDEA beside stick with Mech. fan?

edit: oh i have 110a quest alternator. so power is no problem. fan installing is for more engine space for bigger radiator and piping. plus 3 extra rwhp

well some people went with the ideas ur against and some went with temp probes from either summit or ur local auto store. i personally went the greddy mss route. yes i know its about the cost of the fans themself but i just didnt want to deal with any issues. run a search for greddy mss on google and u'll see what im talking about. hks has something similar but i think its not as cheap as the greddy and doesnt control as much as the greddy. btw, does that quest alternator bolt right up? wonder if that would work on the DE..........

Alternator:no. Lots of modification. You need good cutting tools and drill.

I only had it for 500 miles i'm not sure what's gonna happen. i'm keep checking belt for tension and voltage, but it looks ok.

Back to Fan:Anyway, Greddy is too expensive. I know it's good but fan itself cost 30 dollar. So I think what i'm gonna do is, either take sensor off of stock altima and use same relay. Basically use altima fan system. just borrow 12v from battery. I think stock altima radiator has built in temp. sensor so i might just upgrade radiator too. (with piping modification i mention early )

It's all for 250hp project

i just installed an altima fan set on a s14 and it didn't fit very well. i had to chop off about 2 inches off the left and right side to make it fit and clear the a/c receiver dryer and the p/s hose. wired it in using a cheapy summit fan controller that has a knob to set the temperature at which fan turns on and off. i installed a flexlite fan on an s13 using a thermoswitch threaded into the thermostat housing and a standard relay, i like that method much better even though it is not adjustable, it is more reliable.in both installs, i wired in the factory fan plug into the nonfactory fan setup. this is important if you have a/c because that way the fan will turn on when the a/c is on. also if the engine overheats, the ecu will also be able to turn on the fan.

wire one of the altima fans to turn on with the car, and the other to turn on like the a/c fan

i personally have the stock a/c fan wired to turn on with the car and everything works great

Yeah, I have that temp wiring from autozone, and a Ford 3.0 e-fan. It pulls a TON of air, but also a lot of power, I was thinking about wiring up some kind of resistor to it. But the fan cost me $10 from the junkyard so....

my first fan was from a ford tarus zip tied it to the back worked fine. then the rad went up, it was the OEM one, did pretty good all them years

then i got a radiator from an s14 with the ac fan attached, motor runs so damn cool.

both fans were wired to a manual switch, in the winted i hardly have to ever cut it on, i also cut out the air ducts in my top of my 89 bumper and i have no ac condensor so my rad get a full blast of air all the time. Im running a SMIC so it wil continue to get air. but ill have the fan running no matter what once I install my kit

I got a thermoswitch off from old 200sx.

Can anybody draw quick simple elec fan wiring using regular 30a relay and thermoswitch?

There is nothing to know. Plus, I'm drizzunk. And anyone feel free to correct. A standard 4-pin ISO relay (about 11 bones in hawaii, 3 everywhere else, j/k) is:30 - groung86- hot feed87 - hot to switch87a - come from switch

I questioned this, but I am lit, so I am not sure if I made a mistake. Please, anyone help out.h
