I will have your question answered by tonight. I am installing the Tein "HT"s on my M35 tonight by myself with no air tools.

I will post pics while I'm doing it and highlight any difficulties.

Wish me luck...

I don't think it's as hard as it is dangerous.

One of those springs get loose and I would hope your life insurance is paid up. I've heard a nightmare story or two of them getting loose.

Be weary too of those auto part store compressors for 40bux too. I've had a set or two bend on me during the first try.

The rears are quite easy because they're not attached to the shock but the fronts are a bit harder but without the right tools, a wall mounted spring compressor and power tools, you should be fine.

Well, I'm still alive and well. It was tougher than I thought it would be due to a few stuck screws and trying to wiggle the Strut assembly free from the vehicle. Oh yeah, you have to sqeeze the spring pretty good to get it to fit back on the strut assemby.

I have done Maxima's and the difference in design and quality is obvious even underneath the car. For me it was time consuming but not hard. It took me just over 4 hours to do the front. I will say it came out perfect in terms of no noises and works flawlessly.

I did just the fronts to see how much drop it would be before doing the rear. The intial drop before settling is exactly one inch. It went from 28.25" to 27.25". The rears at stock level are 27.5". If she settles another 1/4 inch then I'll drop in the rear springs.

Handling is slightly better and ride quality is maybe 3% worse and only slighly noticable on the largest of bumps--basically the same. I really like how it came out and do recommend the Tein "HT" springs for someone looking for a mild drop and want to maintain their ride quality.

I will post pictures either tomorrow or the next day.

Ok I took some before and after pictures. Keep in mind I have only did the fronts so far...

Overnight the fronts have dropped another 1/8 inch. So in these pictures you'll see before (28.25 inches) and after (27.125 inches). Right now there is a slight slant forward due to me putting in the fronts only. In all likeness I'll toss on the rears this weekend. I will start another thread that will highlight the one-two punch combo of the spacers and complete drop on all (4) corners.

I will also post fairly detailed "how to replace springs" instructions complete with pictures to help anyone who wants to do this themselves.

Now without further adue the pics...

i think u can use the same springs for the m35x, but people who have the all wheel drive like the clearance the x provides. as long as the car doesn't use specially electronically dampened shocks/struts, u should be fine.

Looks good 07. Have you gotten it aligned yet? I just dropped mine on eibachs and wondering where other people are at with their camber numbers with other springs.

What kind of pricing are you all seeing with the Tein Springs.

I'd like a small drop, just enough to level the car out, and not affect the ride as much.

No one purchased a set Teins, that knows what kind of price and which kit I should be getting?

Did we confirm if these will work on a 45?

I put a set of Tein's on my 45 last week. i too wanted a moderate type drop so thought i'd try the Tein's first.... I believe with the weight of the 45, the drop is a "little" more in the 45 than the 35. I'm sitting at 26 15/16's in the front after a couple of hundred miles. the back is at 27 3/16's at this time. The ride is very close to stock with the body roll being significantly reduced.

Regarding the Tein's availability, Tein has the as out of stock and I called them and they said because they were not in great demand, they would not be getting anymore in. I found a set at a Tein retailer in AZ and had them shipped to Cali. I believe they were about $256 or so shipped..

Will do a writeup and pic's when i get my camera back from my nephew later this week. The cell phone pic's are worthless.

Thanks Backdoc7!

I'd love to see an M45 fully dropped on Tein. Only reason I'm considering Tein is because I've heard that the ride is very close to stock.

What the model/stock number of the set you have. I see a few set on eBay and want to make sure I get the right set.

Looking forward to those pics!

Yos, i also found them on ebay... guess I got smoked by paying shipping.. the part number I used is SKP60-BUB00 Good luck and yes.. the ride is very very close to stock.. I don't think i really feel a difference unless im hard cornering or hitting a big bump.
