Has anyone installed these themselves? How difficult is it? Finally, what do you think of them in terms of ride quality and handling?

Any help or feedback would be sincerely appreciated.

They're perfect for what I was looking for. I wanted a subtle drop with better handling. The drop was about 1.6 (F), 1.0 (R) and handling definitely feels better (less body roll). Ride quality feels a tad harsher than stock, but feels sporty to me.

Why can't manufacturers make more springs for the X?! I want mine to look like that and not put it on bags! And btw, nice color. That's the other color I was looking for as my briefshopping experience went.

YM, you are bumming me out because you're going to cost me money and time underneath the car. Car looks fantastic!

I think I'm going to go with the Tein springs for a milder drop (1.2" front--.5" back).

Enjoy!!!

Thanks YM. Should be interesting. Another reason for the mild drop is I ordered 15mm spacers--I really like the flush look. I ordered both the Tein's and Eibach 15mm spacers yesterday.

So, expect pictures by 3/15/2009.

I'll post before and after pictures and thoughts.

Yeh spacers would make it look great I was going to do the samn I was actually on click away from ordering them but I knew once I did that I would never want to get some new wheels so I should hopefully have some 20's on it soon

Point well taken. I thought about 20's as well. But right now the ride quality is pretty nice. With the spacers I have committed myself to these sporty factory wheels. I'd hate to take a sizable hit on ride quaity. I'm also a little paranoid veering from the perfect fit (lubcentric) that you get with factory wheels(no vibes). I think the main downside looks-wise is the high offset of the 19" factory wheels.

I do wonder if the Eibach drop (being lower) would allow for the flush look without rubbing.

I'm gamb|ing, but I think 15mm spacers with stock 19's will produce a overall offset of +35mm versus +50mm-which will be just right with the drop.

With a mild drop I think I'll be just right. No rolling fenders or rubbing.

Time will tell...I'll be the guinea pig!

You should wait for my review of the 1.5" front drop and .5" rear drop before making your decision.

The are made by "Tein". The so called luxury drop.

I'm hoping this mild drop will maintain factory ride quality as contrasted with sport OEM springs.

They are $235 shipped.

You're guessing 3/15 ish?

I think a .5 drop in the rear is all I need in the rear, because right now Im pretty close to rubbing with 2 passengers.

Yes by 3/15/09 at the latest. I'm going to install the springs myself (I have done at least 10 Maxima's).

Springs are do in 3/11/09. Personally, I think anything over .5" in the rear is a bit much. Ideally just bringing down the front would do it for me.

The front on my car is .75" higher than the rear. So a .7" difference on the Tein springs between the fronts and rears should level her out pretty nice.

I wil provide before and after pics along with measurements. I will also give you my impressions of ride quality and handling as contrasted with the OEM sport springs. Hopefully they won't rub with my +15mm spacers on all 4 corners.

Stay tuned...

Yeah I went on and ordered (yesterday) the Tein H techs for the same reason. My 20s in the back are very close as it is... .5" is all I need back there. I'd like more than the 1.2 in the front. But I'll settle.

Ideally I'd like 1.5 in front and nothing in back. At this point, I think I'm goign to install just the fronts....see how it rolls & looks. Then do the back if need be.

How hard are the springs to install yourself?
