Engine: KA24E
Problem: Code 35 EGR Temp Sensor
Purpose: Need it gone for smog, CA RULES!!!! :tisk:

I read up on the resistor and got both 100k ohm 1/4 watt and 100k ohm 1/2 watt. My question is did I do it wrong? I cut the part of the plug from the harness and soldered the resister to both wires, in other words parallel. Somebody told me it's supposed to be solder on the other end where the Sensor is close to. What I don't understand is it just on one wire? Or do both wires get soldered with the resistor in between? Or do I just solder the resistor in place between the wires with everything still in place? If it doesn't make sense please let me know and I can draw a picture unless you can provide one that'd be great. Thanks.

I just unplugged it and shoved the resister into the plug. One end of resister for each wire. Are you getting power to one of the wires?

I found the problem, previous owner had cut the wires from all the way down the harness, now I gotta figure out which one it is on the ECU. Never buy a rigged car.
