engine: blacktop sr

problem: start, rough idle, die. won't die if i hold the clutch in, but tries to. i was told that my ecu isn't advancing.

i was then told that reflashing it would fix it. is this true or is my ecu pretty much fried and i should invest in a "new" one/new tune?

it randomly started doing this. it worked fine before

i've sent enthalpy an email and haven't gotten a response yet

enthalpy tune, btw

s13 blacktop or s14? you can do a test with the screw and l.e.d. light on the s13 ecu's to see if the ecu is bad. If you turn the screw like your going into diagnostic mode and the light doesnt start to blink it just stays lit then your ecu is bad..also are you running rich at all? you may want to clean your iacv or test it's ohms..also the same for the mafs, tps, and check your injectors to see if they are getting stuck open or not opening at all

you mean you are running a stock ECU with 550s and a Z32 MAf, if you are, thats your problem.

Id say check all the things fastback suggested and we can go from there, I wouldnt jump straight to a bad ECU especialy if it just started doing this.
