I see. I hid my e-mail from the bidder but that prolly don't matter now. Thanks for explaining that to me, I didn't quite understand until now. Hopefully everything turns out okay. I hope I didn't come off sounding angry at you earlier.....I can kind of see your angle now.

Its my fault for flying off the handle like that with the language.

It can really get nasty if the seller gets word of it. He can choose to file charges if he does. keep your fingers crossed...

I emailed the seller, minutes after posting this, and this is what he said:

"first off ,. they are not sportmax, and they don't cost 400 bucks ,. i've got recipts ,. to pruve,..don't like it, don't bid, report that!" - sr20bling

PS- his grammar and spelling really rocks too.

You know what would be cool? If someone started their own auction with the same title and at starting bid of 1$, and then explained how the other auction is a ripoff. A link to the thread would be good too.

I would do it, but that's 35 cents off my account.

It's been reported to Ebay, so it's in their hands now. Regardless of whether the seller was genuinely deceived about what he had, he now acknowledges that the wheels are not Nismo. The right thing to do would be to voluntarily take the auction down and re-list it correctly...we'll see.

It's a shame this stuff is happening more and more often with Nissan stuff now. Not particularly unexpected though, I suppose.

This guy's a real a-hole.

He claims he bought them at Yashio? In Thailand?

Whatever.

not that is the right thing to do or anything, but someone could put some crazy price bid in, and not pay. if ebay don't wanna help out, we can at least make sure no one wins.

Do not do this.

Report it to ebay. If you contact the bidder, and the bidder talks to the seller, then the seller will have YOU kicked off ebay for tampering with HIS auction.

Report it to ebay directly.

I like those Sportmax wheels, but he shouldn't try to pass them off as something they aren't.

Been done. It's in their hands at this point. Also CC'd Nissan USA, not that they probably have any interest in one of several hundred fake Nismo items on Ebay at any given time.

LOL - Someone should ask him if they will fit a 350Z.... again.

I've also emailed ebay to inquire if it's appropriate for a seller to use profanity in an auction, especially when replying to an innocent question.

Oh, no! Now where will we get our sort-of JDM-ish style wheels and Nismo stickers from?!?!

I can't set back and say nothing. This is like the third time, that I've been aware of, NICO member's being ebay police! I just read this and read the ebay listing. I'm an outsider and damn! How does the seller feel now that you guys put his nuts in a vice. This is in front of anyone (World wide) that typed "nismo" in the search for items. OMG I wouldn't even bother with ebay anymore under that name for the shame of someone remembering. Oh well I almost put in a bid on these too!

Your welcome glad we could save you a headach and money. So you can spend it on the real items and not the cheap knock offs.

But, thanks anyways. I have been given great advice here (NICO) and hope it stays that way.

I hope he feels like a herd of elephants just tap-danced on his nuts. Does it make me a sociopath that I enjoy doing that to people?

Hell, I don't care.
