Keep searching you can find them for $250 shipped I bought some similar to that... They are pretty good but they will rust like $h!t so paint them black before you install them... Trust me you will regret it if you dont.....

They are a step up from the stock but I noticed my self sliding more when I brake aggressively.. Now Im not sure if this was due the fact that my tires are getting old... but that was the only problem I had with them.
Car sounds kinda like a jet when you slow down... not sure if thats a good think or a bad thing.... lol

ha, yeah, those look similar to the ones I'm debating on getting to hold me over until BBK time.

And I'd say the "sliding" is due to balding tires. ;)

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Nissan-Altima-07-08- ... 5add1b0bf2 another place to get rotors for under $300.

so you're sliding more now? i wonder if that has anything to do with your ABS not working properly with your new rotors, i'm not entirely sure how abs works so it might be unrelated and just due to worn down tires.

Yeah I was wondering on that too.... cause wouldn't the ABS stop the brakes from locking up and sliding. But I think Ranga is right I just need new tires.

I've been running 350Z brakes on the Altima for awhile now. Way better than the stock brakes we had. those things were garbage. they were gone at 13K I'm now at a lil over 53K, and the same 350Z slotted rotors are still in good shape. May need new pads soon though, but I got a spare set at home from my G35

I'm not using a BBK, just stock size replacements. the 02+ 350Zs before they changed to the Revup motor. I think it was to 05 or 06. same for the G35.

the G37 bbk kit is a direct fitment as well I believe, I think that riverside infiniti sells them on ebay for around $1300-1500 for the full kit...

PLEASE BE AWARE 19s are required for the bbk, and CHECK YOUR FITMENT!

I also think (wouldnt bet the farm though) that these aftermarket rotors are NOT as good as OEM.
The BBK is a different story, but any aftermarket "no name" rotor isnt going to be made with the same quality and specifications as OEM... I know the "slotted" look is cool, but if it has a NEGATIVE impact on the braking ability.... :nono:

Slotted and drilled rotors "work better" because they allow heat to be dissapated(sp?) quicker.... which decreases the time the car needs to stop. If the rotor warps (common with garbage materials) its going to turn a "cool mod" into a "PITA"!

My .02 would be to spend some quality time visiting scrap yards and making friends... A g37 with a front end collision thats totalled... ill take the brakes right off that bad boy and the yard will probably give it to you for $500 or so.

The bottom line is you need to decide if you want to go for looks, function, or both. Both costs more, and looks can wind up costing more later on... Function i always a winner! :mike

yea, im not too fond of cheapin' out on important mods like breaks... i was gonna go with the rotoras drilled & slotted but could never find em for the coupe... so 03-05 350z's rotors shouldnt be a problem fitting then???

You can always call Rotora for an authorized Rotora dealer. You can also check out my Rotora brake thread rotora-brake-upgrades-bbk-rotors-pads-s ... 10848.html

Best price I have found for Rotora rotors is at http://www.thmotorsports.com/

That's a good find, that site has some nice options.

Edit: Looked further into the site and found the Rotora rotors. It gets a little confusing...

There's 4 different kinds and they all either say fitment is "left" or "right" and the prices differ so it's very confusing. Ugh.

My OEM Rotors were garbage. I was glad to get rid of those horrible things. I have stillens on the front (Brake Pros rotors) and ones i got off ebay on the rear, and they have over 30K on them and the rotors are great. Almost time to replace the pads though

FYI, the 2003-2004 G35 and 350Z rotors are NOT the exact same size!

2007-2010 NIssan Altima rotors are:
FRONT: 11.7" x 1.02"
REAR 11.5" x 0.35"

2003-2004 G35 rotors are:
FRONT 11.7" x 0.9"
REAR 11.5" x 0.5"

I don't know if the 0.12" makes a difference or not regarding the front brake fitment, but those are the numbers. I know a number of folks are running OEM G35 front rotors on the front of the Altimas, so I guess it isn't a problem. But just know that the thickness is NOT the same. I have never installed rotors/brakes before... does anyone know if this .12: diffference can be corrected for using the stock OEM brake calipers?

The thickness of the rotors won't really matter much. the stock calipers will adjust when they are engaged. If you were to go to Autozone and buy the rotors from a 1st gen 350z, you will see they are the same dimensions as the 07+ Altima VQ's. I didn't look up the QRs, but I don't see the QRs having different brakes than the VQs. As i said, I've been running 350Z brakes on the rear for a long time with no problems.
