axleback is from where it bolts together near the axle, cat back is from the catalitic converter back, are you sure you dont need a new cat too?

they could have given you the entirely wrong exhaust i guess, the sale page didnt say anything about needing some sort of extension or any other part(s).

a catalyzier is not supposed to be welded onto a muffler, is it not? because on my old stocker, the cat is welded on... and just so happens to be the amount of distance that is needed...

if the hangers are right where they need to be then that means the tip is too sunken under the bumper and that would make either a nice black soot mark or burn/melt the bumper. that sucks though man. you can hack the hangers off and move them then put an extra piece of pipe after the Cat. buying a whole cat back you should NOT have to do that. I say refund and get a better one, no need to have all that hassle for something that is supposed to fit

maybe you could take it to a muffler shop and have them cut'n'weld one of the pieces so its long enough. thats probably what i would do

lol^^it looks like they replaced the cat with a universal one so you would need a "catylizer" or something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Parts

from the looks of it your catalitic converter is still attached, hence the length difference, on ur new system you have a resonator and a straight through muffler, you need to either transfer your cat or buy a new one or a test pipe

i didnt notice that in the picture. so you need to either: transfer your cat to the new exhaust, buy a new cat, buy a test pipe.

i'm dumb! i think i'll just transfer my old cat onto the new one. BUT if i were to get a test pipe, it would just be bolted onto the spot where the cat was previously at?
