I don't know the big deal about high revving. You guys must live in Germany or Montana where the speed limit is 100mph. I live in the NY metro area. I don’t get to go 100. I'm lucky I get to do 80. The area is very hilly around here. You’re in a traffic jam doing 30 going up hill and it lets up, the transmission has to do two downshifts to 2nd to keep pace. Weeks go by that my car don't go past 4000 rpms. I bet you my car has spent 95% of it's time below 4000 rpms. A heavy car needs low end torque. Sure, once the Q gets going, it's a fast car, but first you have to get it going. Strait line and no one in front of you, but if your at a red light and make a left to a hill, the Q fails. Here's the problem, you make the left, in the middle of your turn, and the transmission has gone to 2nd gear. By the time you finish your turn and have to go uphill, your revs are low and you have to gun it to get it to downshift back to first. I really don’t blame the engine too much. It's more the fault of the transmission. G50 Qs lacks a five speed transmission. If it had one, life would be so much easier.
