Yea I feel the same way about that. It's like the Wii. Great system but it will NEVER be a system for serious gamers. It will be a novelty party gaming platform. No one will ever play COD6 or Madden by flailing around their arms and legs like a drowning animal.jemcleod wrote:Project Natal is definately a step up from the rest. But lets take a step back and think about this. You come home from a long day at work, you get your beer, you sit down in your couch to play a hockey game or a sport game. But wait in order to play this you need to stand up and move your body. Like I said its a fantastic idea but sometimes I just like to come home from a long day at work, sit my arse down, pick up that controller and let my fingers do the work. I mean just imagine how long you will last if you have to move as much as the people I saw moving in the video for project Natal. I mean I know I will buy it, I have the Wii which is just picking up dust because I have to have the new technology, but I just figured I would bring this into perspective.
With out a doubt GT has their hands full with Forza coming out. So far I have never had an issue with either physics engine and the graphics of next gen are SO good that as this point I don't care with game has better graphics. But as of now, after watching the E3 coverage on Forza, they have my money as of now.Klodust wrote:@rcabrita:...
Well the "flames" come from running a rich A/F mixture for tuning. The higher fuel mix is necessary when tuning boosted cars that have high heat inputs. This plus not having a catalytic converter causes the unburned fuel to ignite . So where am I going with all this....Chaotic_Warlord wrote:Someone on the Forza board stated a very solid truth of a visual nature, FM3 needs to have flames out the exhaust after a certain modification level, what's the point of having the dull pop sound when you let off the throttle and no flame. they also need to amplify the bov on the turbo cars. i was on 95 a couple weeks ago and there was a MkIV supra all done up, I could hear his BOV with him 1/4 mile ahead of me with 60+MPH wind blasting me in the ears. BOV's are loud especially on highly modified cars, so why can't they be loud in the game.
Exactly, Forza has this complex system for dialing in the suspension and you can tweak your transmission, your diff, and your aero (to a point) but they have this stupid setting for the tires which makes no sense at all and I completely don't understand. I'd also like to have the suspension settings in metric as that is what I understand when it comes to suspension, I shouldn't have to do math to translate Imperial to metric.rcabrita wrote:Next gen racing games should allow users to tune A/F maps as well as ignition maps on dynos as well as live track tuning. This would be awesome and I would spend all day F'ing around with my tune till perfection. Also at one point in the game once you have a large capitol, you should be able to have access either from purchase or "unlocking" a seven post shaker rig to tune suspension. A wind tunnel to properly choose exterior mods would be sweet as well.
Am I the only one that finds the humor in the fact that the bashed up car belongs to the king of crash himself, Solberg?ProudNissanFreak wrote:

Agreed...it would be a neat feature, but the ammount of people that would ONLY buy this game if it had this feature vs. the time it would take to implement would not even be CLOSE! Maybe .01% of the public would turn down Forza because it didn't have a A/F Mixture setting...as it is they are dummying down the game to try and get more extry level people into the game.Chaotic_Warlord wrote:I would also LOVE to see some engine settings on that tuning screen. A/F ratio, boost, timing, and fuel pressure. They should also implement a Danger sign if your tune is damaging. This would be the ultimate hotness and to be honest it would get more people into the game. Most of the people I know who play this don't have the first clue how to tune so they run what they brung or they play with it based on what they know.
