@rcabrita:

GT5 and Forza both has its advantages and disadvantages which makes both great games but since my dad PS3 is with him in ohio, hence me not being that impacted by GT5 much.

i know lil about GT's community and i must say the forza community is waay bigger/connected especially with the Auction House Feature and the Paint Shops/ Race or Drift teams people have.

As for graphics GT5 kills Forza.... i thought the pic with the F1 was real the first time i saw it

But Fm3 has customization....

You come home from a long day at work, you get your beer, you sit down in your couch to play a hockey game or a sport game. But wait in order to play this you need to stand up and move your body. Like I said its a fantastic idea but sometimes I just like to come home from a long day at work, sit my arse down, pick up that controller and let my fingers do the work. I mean just imagine how long you will last if you have to move as much as the people I saw moving in the video for project Natal. I mean I know I will buy it, I have the Wii which is just picking up dust because I have to have the new technology, but I just figured I would bring this into perspective.
Yea I feel the same way about that. It's like the Wii. Great system but it will NEVER be a system for serious gamers. It will be a novelty party gaming platform. No one will ever play COD6 or Madden by flailing around their arms and legs like a drowning animal.

With out a doubt GT has their hands full with Forza coming out. So far I have never had an issue with either physics engine and the graphics of next gen are SO good that as this point I don't care with game has better graphics. But as of now, after watching the E3 coverage on Forza, they have my money as of now.

I love Forza's ability for modification/engine swaps/paint etc. So far comparing online communities wouldn't be fare because Forza has been out for 360 already and that has had the ability to establish a online community. GT has only been available on PS2 which had a lack of online capabilities. Once a GT arrives on the next gen platform I am sure it will , as did Forza, create plenty of buzz with Online gamers.

GT should take notice of how things are getting done at Turn 10 and use some of their great ideas...If not, then I will give up all faith in the glorious GT serious.

GT5 has modifications to a point, you can buy suspension, engine, brakes, transmission and everything the same as you have always been and tune accordingly. But they don't have body mods or the paint/graphics that forza has. While both will now have a video editor and photo mode, I think that GT5 will have better tracks and more authentic race cars. Gt5 also doesn't have the tuning community or online gaming that Forza will offer. Both will be running at 60fps but I do think that GT5's graphics will be a bit better in the end. GT5 will probably have a better soundtrack, both musically and car wise. Turn 10 really needs to step up there game and record more cars at varying levels of modification and tune and not on a dyno as you can hear it come through. I'm tired of all the 4 bangers sounding roughly the same, you can definately tell at a distance what car is what in real life, you should be able to do the same in game.

Someone on the Forza board stated a very solid truth of a visual nature, FM3 needs to have flames out the exhaust after a certain modification level, what's the point of having the dull pop sound when you let off the throttle and no flame. they also need to amplify the bov on the turbo cars. i was on 95 a couple weeks ago and there was a MkIV supra all done up, I could hear his BOV with him 1/4 mile ahead of me with 60+MPH wind blasting me in the ears. BOV's are loud especially on highly modified cars, so why can't they be loud in the game.

Well the "flames" come from running a rich A/F mixture for tuning. The higher fuel mix is necessary when tuning boosted cars that have high heat inputs. This plus not having a catalytic converter causes the unburned fuel to ignite . So where am I going with all this....

Next gen racing games should allow users to tune A/F maps as well as ignition maps on dynos as well as live track tuning. This would be awesome and I would spend all day F'ing around with my tune till perfection. Also at one point in the game once you have a large capitol, you should be able to have access either from purchase or "unlocking" a seven post shaker rig to tune suspension. A wind tunnel to properly choose exterior mods would be sweet as well.

Exactly, Forza has this complex system for dialing in the suspension and you can tweak your transmission, your diff, and your aero (to a point) but they have this stupid setting for the tires which makes no sense at all and I completely don't understand. I'd also like to have the suspension settings in metric as that is what I understand when it comes to suspension, I shouldn't have to do math to translate Imperial to metric.

I would also LOVE to see some engine settings on that tuning screen. A/F ratio, boost, timing, and fuel pressure. They should also implement a Danger sign if your tune is damaging. This would be the ultimate hotness and to be honest it would get more people into the game. Most of the people I know who play this don't have the first clue how to tune so they run what they brung or they play with it based on what they know.

Am I the only one that finds the humor in the fact that the bashed up car belongs to the king of crash himself, Solberg?

BTW, I'm glad to find that I'm not alone in the fact that I've been really anticipating the release of "Heavy Rain". At the beginning of the conference, when the PS3 guy was talking about the future releases, "Heavy Rain" got the loudest applause of all. Hopefully Quantic can one-up themselves from Indigo Prophecy.

Agreed...it would be a neat feature, but the ammount of people that would ONLY buy this game if it had this feature vs. the time it would take to implement would not even be CLOSE! Maybe .01% of the public would turn down Forza because it didn't have a A/F Mixture setting...as it is they are dummying down the game to try and get more extry level people into the game.

Also Chaotic...if you want something Super real like that...check into some PC games...I know some developers make games that are much more realistic for the PC because that is a higher modification platform (much easier to make a car design on a PC then a set of Xbox sticks), These games also get Car enthusiests that like to game instead of Gaming enthusiests that like Cars also. Make sense?
