WD, what kind of gains are expected if I lean out the air fuel ratios one more point around where I make peak power?Refer to my dyno sheet for specific rpm to air fuel ratios correlation.Enthalpy on Fresh Alloy said maybe 10-15 rwhp and he's the dyno tuner at Secret Services in Florida.

On average, I went from making 9hp to 17hp per lb of boost when I leaned out the mix to 12.7 from 10, but I settled on 12.5. But everything depends on how efficient your IC and turbo are as well. Your turbo should be just fine in the efficiency island though. Are you just gonna lean out from 5000 on up with the SAFC? I use a wide band so I don't have to pay for expensive dyno sessions until I want to see my final product. But without one I wouldn't screw with it.

Wow, nearly double the power per psi going from an A/F of 10 to 12.5!! That would make over 450whp. Now I see how tuning separates the men from the boys!

Actually it was 12.7, and that was on the ragged edge of detonation. If I made repeated runs at that A/F ration and my IC heated up I would start to get a slight knock. I was also burning alcohol as well as 104 octane gas. Those runs were done at 25 and 28 psi just trying to break the 500hp mark on stock internals. I never managed more then 498 without knocking. But thats was a dyno bash, not meant for actual street use. I only ran 25 psi at night during good conditions. But I had a Knock meter and AF meter to help out.
