i wouldnt neccsarily say smoke anything in the twisties, put it on a curvy mountain road and id be willing to say that an s2ooo and the 35oZ alike would ATLEAST keep up, if not pass the the rx-8 (if the turns are super shapr, the s2ooo would be hard to leave behind, and if there are any longer straights, the 35o would own)fliprayzin240sx wrote:I remember when the rumors of the RX-8 surface. They were thinking of sticking a 20b instead of just a 13b. I think now mazda should.. a) consider the 20b idea b) have mazdaspeed come up with a turbo prontoI still like the car tho, handles great, and looks good. A lil underpowered but will smoke anything on the twisties.

but remember the 35oZ also weighs about 33oolbs and the s2ooo only 28oolbs, this is why the s2ooo is rated faster in the 1/4, its just simply lighter. However, give me a course with any kind of straight to stretch its legs, and id put my money on the 35oZpstickne wrote:I haven't ridden in any of the afore mentioned cars and I don't have any semi-concrete numbers, but it seems like the 350Z would have an advantage on twisty roads due to its larger engine and lower powerband.
More than likely, but im not too sure, they did mention that the rx-8 was 'tricky' (to say the least) to get ro run on the dyno. Also, the s2ooo (or s22oo) will have an F22C and will have the redline lowered to 82oorpm however will make the same 153ft lbs of tq earlier in the band, as well as the HP, all figures stay the same, just at a more usable RPMlessthanjakejohn wrote:Just got the new SCC and read the article. A simple re-chip should the problem?
Also the new S2000 looks sweet with the stroked 2.2 liter engine! Same HP more all around torque and a lower redline.
