Mustangs_Suck: You would have made considerable more power had your compression been up to spec...140 is not very good, neither is 150...not when it's supposed to be at ~175-180 psi...I'd say how much power you made is pretty impressive given the small turbo and the handicap of lack of compression...

yeah i've searched around and found they are kinda low numbers, but *shrug* nothing bad...there's plenty of people running around that compression or even a bit lower, and they are doing fine. It'll last me for awhile I'm sure...but a new stronger head and pistons + rods are on the list of things I should replace in the near future.

congrats on the numbers. its good to finally see sumone put the t25 to the test on the KA. i guess my goal at the dyno will be to beat ur numbers but at least i know where i should b at or around. (playing the conservative role). i like ur spool tho...............

so will 10 lbs from a t25, and 10 lbs from a t3/t4 be equal in the amount of stress placed on the motor?

No because the t3/t4 will still push more air into the cylinders. Although you also have to bring into the equation the amount of hot air coming in due to the smaller turbine. At 10 lbs i don't think either would hurt it much. The T25 shouldn't start to run out of breath until about 14 lbs.

Ona 2.0 liter SR...yes, 14psi is about the limit.

But on a motor that's 20% bigger, I'll bet it won't hold 12psi to redline.

Just FYI...

thank ya. My numbers could of been higher, my compression is a bit low as ppl have said...and I still have a few quirks to still work out - but *shrug* I'm satisfied with it for now.

Good luck with your build - I know 200rwhp and 205rwtq isn't much, but believe me, the car PULLS.

You would theoretically put down the same power at the wheels in an SR at 9 PSI

True, but I was tired and rattling stuff off.=) T25 barely hold redline at 10 psi on a KA. hehe.

right. I'll most likely upgrade to a T28 sometime soon. I know the T25 is pretty limited, but it's definitley good enough for a budget turbo set up.
