I´ve done it a few times, no problem at all. I´ve used T3 flanges and added a T2 bolt pattern combined with conical bolt heads. You need to make sure the T2 bolts get under the flange surface.

There are better "bolt on" flanges out there now with two flanges and a cone between them. T2 -> cone -> T3.

Hard to explain this stuff in bad English...

yeah, I've not seen 'em as low as $700, but I figure after all the 'hype' blew over and the dust settled, the turbos will sell for closer to what they're worth.

Hi Guys.

Regarding these cheap Garrett turbos. (No! not the obvious China ones). I got a new exhaust housing recently from GCG Turbos here in Sydney, and the fella selling me the housing made great effort to tell me that it was a Japanese Garrett part.

I have a feeling that even Garrett has taken the "made in china" option for their turbos these days. Anyone else had information or suspicions about this?

Cheers,Chris
