after reading through this old thread that has recently resurfacde , i realized something...do any of you guys realize that the dyno might be different from whan you have been on yourself or what others have been on that posted their number, or if the settings on the dyno were to help yield the highest possibel numbers.

HP is always a good rbagging measue as well with torque, but alot of peopel get carried away with it, if you want high numbers get setup on dynojet, if you want low numbers to help with bragging and blame it on the dyno use a mustang dyno (not for mustangs, company name).

my good friend who is a tuner had his K20 integra on a dynojet which read 219whp and 161 torque, then a few days later he got setup on a mustang dyno which read 197whp and 147 tq. Its quite a difference an no boost to blame it on just dyno itself and possibly settings.

on teh side note th T25 is fully capeable of more than 250whp, it all varies on supporting mods. I made 255whp at 14psi many moons ago, and now that i run a T28 (S15) and no other bolt on change si make 270whp at 14psi, but like i said dynos mean nuothing just the tuning ot make the car run smooth. Just get it tuned tso teh AFR's are smooth and safe, then just use buttdynos.

mustangs make for a better tune though...get it done on a mustang if you can unless youre just a numbers whore

in the end the car wont be any faster because you put it on a dynojet to get higher numbers, so its worthless going on a dynojet

yup mustang dynos are much better because it actually loads the rollers and measures the torque output that way where as on a Dynojet, you are spinning a roller with known intertia and the machine measures the acceleration of the roller to calculate how much torque you are producing. So Mustang dynos give you more realistic value.

Use a dyno for tuning, not to brag about power. Run it at the track to see real power results.

I know that this is an old thread, but you guys bumped it first.

Him having stock injectors, would that cause a lean-condition, resulting in higher horespower numbers?

yup. Headgasket will hold over 400hp no problem with good tuning. Dont believe the myths of replacing it all the time.
