unless we are talking about hundreds of pounds, i think i'd rather have the extra dampening rather than a little weight reduction. i'm building a street car, not a race car.

It is one of the biggest pains to do it clean and properly.

Dynamat is good stuff. I use it to cover a few various areas such as sections where the factory sound deadening would meet the seam sealer.

It gives a much cleaner look IMO. ( I am insane however)
