Dumbest Questioned that someone ever asked you?

Not to laugh at anyone or make fun of ignorance but today i was asked a dumb question about my car. Guy at my job saw my car before I had SR told him I was getting swap or whatever, so he finally saw it today after a while cuz its not my daily driver. He was like wow it looks nice but why is your radiator so low? I didnt want to laugh right then so i proceeded to explain to him what an intercooler was and its purpose. Just want to know if anyone else has been asked dumb questions? I want to hear them dont have to be car related?:D

Actually, I appreciate his question since your intercooler is in the wrong place. Long live the TMIC.

Most of the dumb questiosn I get are work related. Sometimes my employees can have brain farts.

i think you guys should take it kinda easy on other people, not all people are car freaks like us

if a normal person asks me car questions, i try not to be condecending, as long as there not some dumbazz ricer i try to be cool to them

like if a guy who doesn't know much about cars, just cause he isnt' interested in them in general asks me what a turbo is, i dont laugh at him,

we can't all know everything,

hell, i don't know jack about computers, and i'd hate it if some guy laughed at me if i asked him how a cpu works, i'd respect him much more if he just explained it to me

There is this guy where I work with a civic. I see rims tint exhaust bla bla bla. I was like what u got in there it sounds fast. He was like yea got turbo headers and turbo downpipe. I was like ok and played dumb then lmao when he left.

Well the difference here is that a lot of the guys that say stupid stuff think they know what they're talking about. At least you admit that you don't know much about computers.

I almost asked a really dumb question to Zero as to what an TMIC was, then it hit me like a pissed off baboon...

I don't think I could tell what an sr20 was by looking at one right now, not familiar with the accessories or valve cover shape or fittings if you will.

I did however have this retard ask me if my car was turbo when I had the hood popped. If you've ever looked under the hood of a Super Coupe, it'll make it that much more amusing;)

yup, I'm wanting to say that's the shape of the earlier design M90 intake inlet, they went to a more of a rectangle design later I believe, the appearance of eyes come from the two rotors in the case.

A guy from the SCCOA forums posted the pic and I just found it too damn amusing...

hehe...the dumbest question anyone has ever asked me wasnt car related, this one dude who likes to touch himself in public asked me where i am from, i told him Hong Kong. then he was like "oh so u speak japanese right?" but the dumb part was that he has known me for more then 3 years!!!!! and still till this day, he has no idea where the fu*k hk is, and keeps asking me "so u speak japanese right? can u read this?" blah blah

semi-friend of mine who drives an older BMW 5 series asked me one day if i had been practising my drift tech. i was like, uh no, i've been fixing my car.

cant really say i remember too many stupid questions cause i tend to forget them since they're stupid. i do however remember a few questions this dumbass girl asked in my highschool chemistry class:

to the teacher: "is it the hydrogen in water that puts the fire out?"teacher: *gives her dumb look*

to the teacher after we talked about the semi-magnetic properties of water: "is fire magnetic?"

and last but not least. she asked a substitute who worked on the manhatten project: "did you do drugs in the war like everyone else?"

That's even stupider because it's in Japan, therefore, not an import.

I was at this meet for a pretty big tuner website and everyone was walking around looking at cars and talking. I had my hood popped and I was talking to a couple other 240 owners.

This kid walked over and leaned over my passenger fender checking out my engine, and I could see him mentally scratching his head, so I looked in his direction and this conversation ensued:
