back to topic- I live in socal and have had no issues with exhaust. 3inch downpipe, to no cat, to dual 2-1/5, with an open wastegate on a KA24E-T. loud and annoying as fuk, but iv never been hassled by any cops....nock on wood.

i was looking at 2.4loves' thread and he bought a 2.5" dual tip muffler for $120 from vibrant performance and it looks alright...

they also have a 3" inlet to 2.5in dual tips

just go to any shop that can bend the piping. most muffler shops can do it. it cost me $260 for a 2.5" straightpipe, 18" resonator, and 2.5"in/dual 2.5"out muffler. they did it in like 35 min.

i spent $60 on my dual tip muffler, brand new. why would you spend double that for a name brand? everyone loves how mine sounds. 2.5"in/dual 2.5"out, i wanted dual 2" or dual 2.25" out but i cant find any that look nice. mines chrome polished and the tips are cocked upwards. it's a 1 chamber "turbo" muffler.

well i was looking for a 3" inlet bcuz im gunna turbo in a couple months and didnt want to have to buy another muffler...

i saw a apexi n1 dual and fell in love with it, but my pockets aint that deep so i was searchin on ebay and saw this for $25

that one is a 2.5" inlet, you said you wanted 3". to be honest, unless you have a gigantic turbo on there puttin down like 400+hp to the wheels, 2.5" is fine. and you know the inlet should match the piping that comes before it..just get an ebay muffler and go to a local shop with a mandrel bending machine or whatever they're called and just have them throw a straight pipe on for ya. the resonator costs more. a straightpipe shouldnt cost ya more than like $150 and the muffler another $30-60 depending on what ya get.

silencers are dumb. they completely ruin the whole purpose of a larger diameter exhaust.
