Awesome!!!

2.4L DOHC160 hp163 torqueVVT-i

The one I drove was an automatic but still took off like a bat out of hell.. Front wheels would slip everytime you hit the gas, it was alot of fun

Handling is great and the steering is so tight - I love it!@#$#. Interior quality/materials/fit-n-finish is awesome, along with the body/paint & 17" wheels (std.)

I also like the roof.. its all glass :)

(pics)

Before you say:"its fwd!""its lame!""this is a 240 forum!"

Shuttup. It's a nice new car that I would love to have.

looks pretty sweet. Reminds me of a Volvo with the way the front is shaped. I like it, not a bad price at all either...much cheaper than that overpriced Celica!!

It's like a haughty, upper-class BMW had an affair with a tiburon, and this is the bastard child.

I like it.

Ok, your testicles should not be purple or yellow.. if they are you have some sort of disease, see your doctor.

teriyakibroccoli.. no one said 4 wheels would slip on the tC; the front wheels do..

In the car you have two shades that completely block the glass roof; rear has its own and the front has its own

Very nice tho.. wish I could get a loan / afford a new car

The tC is the celica replacement.. the celica never did great and they finally got smart and decided to can it. (Just like the xA was the Echo replacement.. they werent doing so well)

I love my 240.. Would never get rid of it; but this car just looks sweet and id love to have one. FWD would be nice in the rain since my rear wheels hate me.

stupid FWD...

it doesn't look bad though, kinda reminds me of a love child between a Saturn and a RSX.

still the same price as the other Scions?

They better not replace the Celica, if anything make it the way it used to be. A small four seat RWD sporty car that looks so damn cool. and give it the current GT-S powerplant in there the right way!

Yeah, I seen the car and it looks good. But I haven't gotten the chance to drive it. I work at carmax in md and we have a new toyota car dealership. But I work over at the used car store and the Toyota store is across the street. So hopefully I'll drive the car real soon. I just drove the new 04 TL, real nice car.

Is there the TRD supercharger for the car as an option or no? or maybe a turbo?

TRD Super charger in the tC:

The Celica will be gone.. it doesn't have strong enough sales to keep, and the tC gets a better engine package.. The celica GT-S had a 180 hp engine w/ 130 torque.. tC has a 160hp 163 torque.. their goal from the get go of the 13 month from sketch to production plan was to have something torquey in it (which instantly makes it better than the rsx and civic).

Celica has a little more power but the low torque makes it kinda crappy.. tC has full torque @ 4k RPM, and it uses variable timing but has a long stroke so the redline is 6300 =/

SO ... what your saying is it's another KA :D

I like the look, certainly looks better than any of the current Toyota line-up and has a nicer interior. Not too sure if I'd dig the glass roof living in Texas... it'd make cooling the car very difficult in sunlight.

Nismo freak, the roof has interior shades that will cover the whole glass portion of it..

"Look up and the standard all glass Panorama roof is transformed into two separate moonroofs – each with their own roll-out sunshades. Even without the shades in place, the dark grey tint blocks 75-79% of visible light and cuts 96-97% of UV rays (all of the tC’s glass is optimized for UV-cut). For those worried about an all glass roof, not to worry – the welded steel structure meets global standards for rollover and side impact protection and the glass is tempered."
