what im saying is what is that tibby giong to be worth in 10 years or 100,000 miles? absolutly nothing. A FD RX-7 will go down in history as a collectable, well worth every penny of any repair bill you will have for it. And you can get one for the same price or less, not to mention they are 10 times the vehicle a tibby will ever be.

Im very biased though, i have an extreme disdane for hundiyes (sp?). Arent they the same company that sells a certain STI ripoff in australia that sucks balls? It seems like the only thing they put effort into is making them look good (which they do look good). If you willing to substitute quality in manufacturing with warrenty, thats your bag, not mine. Just ask yourself a question, have you ever seen a street driven hundye older than 4 or 5 years that didnt look (and sometimes smell) like complete ***?

I thought the V6 was from the Santa Fe SUV. Anyway, Hyundai today is very different from Hyundai a few years ago. I've seen many say that Hyundai right now is where Honda was ten years ago.

Give Hyundai a few more years, and I think they'll be a major force in the industry. For what it's worth, I think the Sonata and the new Tiburon are very nice looking cars.

This, my friends, kicks a good heapin' portion of ***.

Edit: It's a droptop Tiburon with a hardtop like the Mercedes SLK's. The roof is engineered by the same company that made the Mercedes one, and the car has a 2.7 liter V6 with a 6 speed manual transmission. Hopefully this car makes it in to production and finds its way to the States.

Is it just me or is that really a Mercedes SLK? I mean, look at the lights. Are you just making this up or are they just making an exact copy of the Mercedes, except much crappier?

It looks like a Tiburon to me, but with an SLK-like roof. Hyundai isn't the first copy that type of roof from Mercedes. I think Peugeot has done one like that too.

Hi. Been away for a few days. I had read the Sonata V-6 being in the new Tibby in Consumer Reports. I'll betcha it's also the same motor thats in the Santa Fe too.

I agree completely with you about Hyundai soon becoming a major force. Their cars are a whole lot better now than a few short years ago. Subaru also had humble beginnings. The first car they imported to the US was a pathetic little clunker called the 360. And now the STi and WRX are among the tops in their class. Should be fun to watch Hyundai improve.

anyway, back to the tibby, ive never driven the v6, but why does it only put out 17ohp, i know its only a 2.7 liter, so why would they make such a small 6cyl, i thiink atleast a 3.o liter was in order for theri 'sportier' car

Not ols a small 6 but its heavy too.IMOGood points are... 1)style2)10/100k mile

Bad points are...1)performance

Like I said when I drove both the Tibby and Spec V in the same day the Spec V felt much more powerfull and took curves better.

Compared to at least my 240 and the Spec V I drove, then driving the Tibby, it feels very heavy, underpowered (or course it would feel like this w/ a 4cyl. though), and handled like my moms Regal. I like the styling and interior (At least most of the interior)
