Alright, I'm in a bit of a pickle

I'm trying to make a driveshaft for my sr20 volvo 240 and no local driveshafy shops want to touch the nissan u-joint(not replaceable).

My question is a bit crazy, but going out on a limb, will the nissan hardbody Ka powered 2wd trucks slip yokes slide into the sr20 transmission?

Does anyone make just a slip yoke with a replaceable u-joint to adapt to my volvo driveshaft assmebly?

Sorry, slightly anxious to hit the road with this thing

And thank You

Interesting question and I can't really help you, but just wondering what you would do with the hardbody driveshaft if it were to slide on to the sr transmission?

The stock 240sx driveshaft will slip on the transmission too

I have a skyline driveshaft which is a 2-piece and the volvo one which is a 2-piece, but no shop around here can combine them because of the size difference and nissan u-joint design(non-replaceable or somethin).

I was kinda thinking that the hardbody one would be setup for a solid/live rear axle which is what the volvo has in the rear, plus chances are that it is longer, which makes it cheaper cause it would only need to be shortened, then I would just need to see if a conversion joint or something is available for the very rear. Wish I could find a good pic of one.

I wish I thought on this when I was a the pick n pull earlier so I could pull the hardbody one and take it up to a 240sx, guess I'll go again sun.

I would suggest calling Shaftmasters, or The Driveshaft Shop.

Both have tons of custom driveshaft experience, and Im guessing all you would need to do would be sent them the rear Volvo yolk, and the front SR yolk. Along with the correct measurements, they should easily be able to fab a custom shaft.

PS, you are my hero for putting an SR in a Volvo 240.

I demand pictures.
