I work as a Magazine and book merchandiser for safeways. I make 9.50 an hour plus the good thing about that job i pretty much keep to myself in the store so i get slap my ipod the whole time. My insurance monthly my dad told me will be 90, i think its state farm but thats before i add my 3.8 report card (Senior year tho FTMFW) so its most likely gonna be 70 a month.

Im 19, graduated college last year. I worked at a hibachi restaurant since 8th grade, 2 years as a busboy, then from then to recent I've been a waiter. I got 3.75 an hour but tips probable averaged around 14-15 an hour. So I was roughly making 150-200 a week. I had some money saved up, then spent 9,500 on my 98' Kouki. Insurance for me was sky high... about $2600 because NJ sucks. So I was on my parent's policy but I paid them $86 a month.

When I was in High School I worked bussing tables at a busy restaurant and made like 600 bucks a week, Thats the job to have if your trying to buy or build a nice car. Also I sold some weed from time to time for not much profit, when your a smoker you dont make much on selling the stuff...

But, at that time it was a 99 civic si, and my insurance full coverage through my parents plan was 3962.75. Dont ask how I was able to turbo it and get it tuned and so forth, I worked alot too.

dang 16 here. i have been working since i was 11 lmfao. paperroute, working for the owner of a battery shop, batter shop, lawnmower shop, grocery store, green house, catering buisnuess, and ebay.

what i do now is the grocery store and green house in summer at about 4.56 after taxes working about 16 hrs a week and over breaks from 24 to 40 hrs and up to 50 hrs in the summer. i am still on call for the shops if they need help and my newest job is for a friends catering buisnuess, 8.50 no takes and tips. not too shabby,

bought my own 240sx with money saved up from working forever. gas and insurance and repairs are all mine too and i still have some fun money on the side.

woot

edit: insurance (basic) is 70 a month

oh and teddy i though you worked for d1 and ish

having a 240 in high school is the best, knowing you have one of the best 3 cars in the parking lot is hilarious esp when the only better cars are an evo and an 89 mustang gt with a full catless exhaust including headers. and btw a 240 is considered a sports car cause of the rwd drivetrain =]
having a 240 here is as bad as having a minivan.just because i drive it all the cool kids call me a ricer, street racer, drifter, paul walker, etc.apparently you have to drive big monster trucks and use your parents money for EVERYTHING to be cool.idc, ive never planned on taking any of my vehicles through a huge mud puddle anyways
