yes, it would. anybody who tells you different hasn't driven a miata, or does not understand the basics of suspension tuning with respect to handling, cornering, slip angles, or steering with the accelerator pedal...all of which are key when learning to *drift*

oh most defenitley smith, i in no way took ot the wrong way. but i've always thought the miatra was more of a "grip" car, and which is why it's auto x's weapon of choice. but i have no experience with the car so i can't say..

That is my opinion completely. affordable, very available, very responsive. A good car, if maybe a little too small for my height.

Back when I was big into corollas the miatas were one of the worst things you wanted to go up against in auto-x

That being said, a homosexual at my old work told me "The miata is the official car of the gay man." add that to the fact it's a subsidiary of ford and you learn why I dislike mazda ;)although that DR. wankle (invented the rotary) was cool

Don't let homosexuals, or any other people who flaunt their lifestyle and draw attention to themselves for no other purpose than to be noticed, tell you what a car is or isn't. I have no respect for people who throw something as *taboo* and as non-p.c. as their sexual preference around as a badge of honor, all the while bringing a sense of *taboo* to a fine autobmobile. IMO, it would be appropriate to retort with a comment like "the miata is a driver's car, what are you doing driving when you should be getting ridden?"

they are good all around cars and could be great drift cars. If I can drift a 72' Opel Manta and an 88' Ford Ranger you can drift a miata:D

:rotflmaoexcellent retorti know what you mean there.i haven't a problem with people's sexual preferences. stuff like that should be of no one's business but their own--IMOone of my friends happens to be lesbian. but she doesn't flaunt it, or run around saying stuff to draw attention or to be noticed. but anyhow. like the post i put a page back. Miata now has a stigma because of retarded people like that.

WOW, fantastic retort. The miata is more of a grip car. They kill my local auto-x. The car has good handling though, so it probably would be an able drift car.

My 2 cents.
