Downpipe install with transmission in?

So, I got some SS downpipes and test pipes dirt cheap and I'm wondering what the general consensus is, can ya do the dp's with the transmission in? I've read that it's possible..... who's got the first hand experience :gotme

I'm not thinking so ... downpipe-install-write-up-t280197.html

But I do seem to remember a guy on YouTube doing it, but my guess is it is more trouble than its worth
