I got a question about the SR20DET swap:

If you have to use the Silvia gauge cluser or the DOHC gauge cluster, what happens if you have HUD? Do you lose that totally? Or do you find a Silvia or DOHC cluster that has the digital speedo and HUD? Im really just curious, since i actually love my HUD.

You lose HUD. : ( Its extremely rare to find one in Japan with a HUD, you'd have to get one with the HUD option and thats very difficult...

Actually, I take that back, if you used all the speedo stuff from yours, you might be able to retain the HUD so long as theres somewhere to wire it in to... I don't know enough about the HUDs wiring to make that call, if you switched completely to the Silvia cluster or DOHC cluster you'd lose the HUD, but dependant upon how the HUD is wired into the Speedo and what not, if you kept the SOHC speedo you might be ok...
