No need.

Grant's good at what he does, and he knows wheel fitment better than most anyone I know.

But to disrespect the effort and ingenuity that went into a car that took hundreds of hours to build is simply retarded.

I'm not even done editing them, and none are uploaded to a public host. We'll post them up when we have decided what to go with. It will be its own thread.

dude, if i kept a car for more than 6 months it might matter. Fact is, im doing more in 6 months to EVERY car i own, than most people in 3 years....

and i AM the best at what i do and how i do it. GIve me a wheel, and a car, and i can make it fit, and make it perfect. its just what i pride myself at.

regardless. the OP car still is a stock car with a v8.....appearance is everything.Nice color though

9.5s all around with starspecs, aragosta coils, almost on the ground, URAS GT kit, and the b**** woudl be on the track, constantly. Its too pretty with all that power. its like having a 900HP supra with a stock body. just means your a dyno queen

For the most part I have tried to stay out of this but I do have a few things to say.I have easily 30 hours or more in the wiring on this car. It took 3 months total of late nights and weekends to build this car. It was never meant to be a track car as it was built far too nice for that. I wanted a very capable street car that was very quick. That is why my car has A/C, XM radio, NAV, and leather interior. I drive this car and like to be comfortable doing it. It gets driven hard on the street and is not babied at all. The ride height is set where it can be driven and even at the height it is I can only barely get it in my driveway. I am running the JDM aero for two reasons. First I think it looks best out of all the kits I have seen. It suits my tastes, it's my car, that's what I went with. Second is that it fits right out of the box. Nothing looks worse to me than I'll fitting fiberglass parts. If I wanted fiberglass I would buy a Vette or a boat. So to sum it all up, I built it for me and to showcase what my custom shop is capable of. To those that like it, thanks. To those that don't, no worries, it's fast enough that you don't have to look at it long.

When I started building this car I had 2 T56 transmissions. Both were low mileage rebuilds that were supposed to be in good working order. The one that was in the car when I had the LS1 in it had a cracked 3rd gear synchro so when you tried to shift into 3rd at WOT it would grind. So I took a gamble and tried the other behind the L92 motor. It is in worse shape than the first trans. It has serious issues getting into reverse and sometimes locks out various gears at various different times. It wasn't too bad at first but the more I thrash on it the worse it is getting. The car has spent most of its life with me sideways with lots of tire smoke coming out the rear so that doesn't help matters. I pretty much knew that no stock T56 would live behind the motor I built but under time constraints I decided to just run it until it broke. I will take it out this winter and do a rebuild on it myself and beef it up to handle the power. Stock T56 trans are known to break with stock LS1 power. They don't handle bigger horsepower very well. It would survive longer in the S chassis though because of the lighter weight. If you build them though they can handle upwards of 1000hp with Viper internals.

Greg,I'm not quite finished with it yet. There are still a few things I want to get done before I could sell it. Plus I am still having lots of fun with it. I was tempted to trade you but buying the supercharged VQ would be a waste for me. I would just slap a LS in there LOL. You will be the first to know when she officially goes up for sell.

thats some bad luck and i didnt know about using viper internals. my brother got burned on his first t56 too, the guy said it was rebuilt but they effed something up in it. he found a place that sells remanned ones and offers a 12 month warranty. and for his hp a stock t56 is fine

stock ka? with whacked suspension geometry and bump-steer? sounds like a form > function drift slut rather than a full-time track car

I personally wouldn't waste my money on a t56... even the viper spec has been known to snap things in cobras at the strip.

The TKO is where its at, even at 5 speeds. I hear the 6060 is quite an improvement as well.

makes sense. my brother thought about the tko as well but he's not making enough power to kill the t56 and since it's 6 spd he can cruise on the hwy at just over idle
