Community College is great if you plan to transfer to a university. Thats what I did, and I'm glad. I didn't have the best grades out of high school because I really didn't care while I was there. So, I went to a CC and got all my GE's done for CHEAP. And now, it's so easy to get into colleges as a transfer student. All they really care about is your 60 units (semester) and a decent gpa (seriously like 2.4 gpa).

Getting all your GE classes out of the way at a CC is a great idea. Once you finish those, then you can use the saved money towards the more critical classes at a university. Like I said before, I plan on getting ASE certified through Butte, but I'll also be getting my GE classes done through them as well. Then, once I'm ready, I will transfer to Chico and major in Business Administration. Or something along the lines of that...

Thanks for all the advice and stuff, it helps. I plan on taking CC pretty seriously if I can, heh. I will just deal with stuff as it comes up I guess. I mean, I dont have to plan out my entire life right now. I have a few more years at least, haha.

time flys when you get out of HS, heck i've been out for 6 years and it seems like it was just yesterday that i graduated

i joined the AF right out of HS and have been lovin it ever since. by the time i was 20 i had visited 15 different countries and was living it up in germany. i get food money and housing money on top of my "spending" cash (base pay) so i pretty much eat and sleep for free, blow my cash on my car and what ever else floats my boat. i work 7-4 everyday as a vehical mechanic....whats not to love

course i'm headed to iraq soon......but i'm excited about that too

Good luck in Iraq brotha, know that I have the utmost respect for you because of what you do for me and everyones else's freedom.

I'm thinking if I dont find anything out of tech school that I really wanna do or whateva, I might get in the airforce, because as you say, you basically eat and sleep for free, etc. My buddy is fixing to leave for the AF. Has a few months :/

I just graduated from the community college James dropped out of, though they ****ed me over. Midway through the program they started a degree specifiacally for transfering. Sadly I was too far along and got the AAS. Thats ok though. I am gonna try and get a job for a while then go to TSU on a minority scholorship. :D

Congrats Ben! Become a Nissan master tech. You can move in with Nichols and become a delinquent.

Thats the plan.

I dunno if I am going to enjoy working on other peoples cars though, doing just regular maintenance the majority of the time. But hey, I have my whole life (hopefully) to figure out what to do. I'd actually love to be a BMW Master Tech......

To those graduating, congradulations. When I graduated, I fondly remember the first words my father said to me...."get a job, you bum!".

steal it. Then pick me up, we can go joyriding and throw milkshakes out the windows at other cars!

tiredness does crazy things...

like causes the revival of dying threads!

I know Ben isn't the only graduating from high school right now.

To all of those graduating, cherish even the dumbest memories, they'll be the ones that live with you.

I still fondly remember falling down to flights of stairs after school due to slipping on a pencil some jackass left on the floor by them...

no, other way around, I slammed locker doors into my head.

well, rather ran headfirst into them.

I routinely crushed cans on my head and laughed at the p****** while doing it too:D
