We have cottonmouths around me, I wish they made rattling sounds. Surprised my dogs haven't had any major encounters.

The worst I've ever had to deal with with a face to face encounter with a wild animal is I came about 3 ft from running head on into one of these...



I was running into the woods by my grandmothers when I was 13 and I must have spooked it and it ran out, damn near shat myself, b/c I've seen what they can do to an unsuspecting person.

Hey lookie there a good snake (yeah I hate, kill 'em, wear em like the trophy kill that they are - only good snake is a DEAD snake). (you snake lovers don't get me started - we'll all get banned by the time I finish).

OP - really glad your dog is ok, beautiful dog too.

Mr1der - yeah deer can be viscous - especially the males.

As for the other assorted critters - scorpions don't scare me - beavers don't scare me - but then again I'm living with Black Bears down here in Florida... crazy right...
