i'm not running them though... KYB's all around did me well
You're probably better served with KYB's anyhow, since you're out there tearing up the auto-x. Mine handles about like a Crown Vic.

I understand what you are saying. The bump stop should make contact before the shock bottoms out anyway.

do you plan on cutting down the bump stops or getting shortened ones? cause if you're that low you're more than likely ON them with simple cornering like turning at lights and such... thus the suspension has infinite spring rate and bumps are killer... just a thought.... i cut mine down

Up front I ran a sawzall through mine and made them about an inch tall. I unbolted the rear ones and threw them away.

It is a little bouncy up front, multiple bumps close together make for an interesting ride. I am not going to cut them, I was thinking of raising up the front 1". I will do more after I replace the lower ball joints. I have to get some rear shocks, maybe 2" blocks for the rear. I still need to haul load every now and then.

I had the front lower than it is now but I have to negotiate speed bumps on a daily basis.

I found an awsome deal $120 for some chrome ones and tires. The tires still have alot of tread and the chrome is good.

New update, I have been trying to find some rims that match my current rims but are 15 or 16 inch. Finally got the timing down and my truck runs like a champ, thanks to the redoing of the valve lash. Picked up a second transmission to do the bell housing swap and pray that is what is wrong with the starter problem. Also picked up some bucket seats, and currently looking for a center console off a early body D21.

Got some side mirrors off an 83 Datsun, smaller than originals but looking good, also installed a tach.

The tach install was very simple, alot easier than I originally thought. Next up, install rear shocks2" lowering blockslower ball jointsdifferent transmissionsteering wheelnew rims 15x8 or 16x8fender flares

Dogred, PB Buster, breaker bar and a pickle fork applied with a sledge hammer. What's hanging you up?

Dogred, I've got a 24" breaker bar that should give you the leverage you need to break the bolts loose. When I did the passenger side, I had a hard time with one of the bolts. It took several applications of PB Buster and the longer breaker bar to get it to let go. Send me an email if you need to borrow it.

Just finished the tie rods ends. They were much easier than the ball joints. Having a lift will make things even easier for you.

How's the bed coming along?
