I personally like the sleeper look, although new paint and rims never hurt a car's image.

Dauntt, how's that $850 POS coming along?

My car was mistaken a couple of times as FWD, so I reply "b****, this ain't no Honda." Everyone is always amazed its RWD, and they are also suprised by the deep exhaust note. Just because its a small import they gotta think its FWD, people piss me off.

Its not a POS, and its coming along great. : ) I might sell it though and grab another one after I go thru all the trouble of fixing it. Know anyone who wants a 2000 rust free really clean 240. : )

sorry, its a 240, so it can't be a POS, my bad. I know of a couple people looking for a 240, you willing to drive 10 hours up north for a test spin? Why you gonna go get another one dauntt, you just picked this one up?!? When is the motor going in? And do you know of any shops that have tokico's or KYB gr2's IN STOCK at the moment? My check clears tomorrow, and i really don't want to wait another month to drop my ride.

thanks man

I just picked this one up but theres another newer one that I might have a chance to pick up. : ) If it doesn't go thru I'm sticking with this one, if it does go thru I'm keeping whichever one is nicer and selling the other one. : )

I don't know offhand who has anything in stock, I'm pretty much only concerned with getting my stuff in stock right now. : )

*sorry, its a 240, so it can't be a POS, my bad.

Cruise through my town one time and I promise you that you'll retract that statement. Sadly almost every 240 within a 100 mile radius is a POS :( *weeps*

why do you say that? Just cause a body is in rough shape, doesn't necessarily classify the vehicle as a piece of s***. Our cars have good motors, and even if they weren't maintained well, they can still be rebuilt for a reasonable price.

Now if they are riced out, then they can classify them as sh!tboxes. That is why it is up to you, my friend, to enlighten the people in your town, and show them how a 240 is SUPPOSED to be fixed up!!!

Hmmm I see your point, most of them are just visually damaged. It just saddens me so much to see such a beautiful car with such great potential going to waste like that :( But I will show them! I'll show them all!! Muhahahaha, MUHAHAHA...ahh, anyway..

Anyone interested in buying a pair Cerwin-Vege 12"s?? In my Shadow I had four of them and it was awsome but since I lost some trunk space I went back to using my Rockford-Fosgates. Not that they're any better, I just like their tone better :D

yeah, its too bad some people just don't realise the diamond in the rough that they have just purchased. I hate it when I see people abuse their rides, no matter how much of a pos it may be, treat your car well, nd it will return the favor, thats my theory! I especially hate it when people don't want to maintain their car, and then start bitching when they spring a leak of some sort, or blow a motor! Some people really need to educate themselves, or at least make the effort to do so, if they want to protect their big investment. Retards. Oh well, hopefully one day you can buy all the battered and abused 240's in your area, and sell them to a good home, like the people on this board! Body is simple to repair, but can get expensive, but there is nothing like a new paint job for a car, really changes the whole look of the vehicle. My ride used to be that biege/gold/champagne colro, yeah, pretty ugly (no offense anyone w/that color on their s14). Still working on getting the pics uploaded, my bro has a firewall on his cpu, and I'm not sure how to get around it, but I will post shortly, the difference is pretty amazing!!!

lol, I wish I could buy up all the 240's around here and resale them to everyone on here. I'm sure they'd be much happier with ppl that actually care about them instead of ppl who get them and adone them with "wal-mart dubs" (those beautiful always flaking crome hubbies) and 3" go-cart exhaust tips.

ahh what color are you getting it painted? I was thinking about repainting mine but it's got a 3 month old new white paint job on it. I think I might keep the white I dunno though lol I'm too indecisive.

LOL, guess you didn't read my sig!!! i just painted it 4 weeks ago, picked the lexus IS300 color, its really nice man, get compliments all the time! Changes color at night, but its not like a flashy kinda pearl, really subtle and changes with different lighting. It took me over 3 weeks to deciede on that color, a real hair pulling experience!

My buddy's '89 Cavalier was completely drained of oil. He went out and bought 3 litres of oil and dumped it in there. Man, you should have heard those lifters screaming, it was completely dry in there! You could literally hear the oil as it started to fill the engine up, I thought for sure the motor was going to explode!

hey, if you need help picking color combos for your ride, let me know, I got some really good ideas imo.

take it ease

lol, sorry man I wasn't being very observant. Sounds like a sweet color, you should get some pics on here of it. I have no idea what color I wanna paint mine. I want something uniqe but still subtle.

LOL! Omg that's scary. A friend of mine use to have an 88 cavalier and right before he got his new car the head cracked. It pissed him off so bad cause he was going to try and sell it that he just drove it like that for about 3 weeks. Needless to say the car just sits in his back yard now lol.

yeah, I gotta post my pics soon. My scanner isn't working (stupid Hewlett P) so i scanned them with one of those brother 6 in 1 office machines. Needless to say, the quality of the scan is crap ola!! I'll still post, but I am doing a couple things to my interior at the moment, so I'd like to get pics of my car, inside and out, all up at once cause alot of people have been emailin' about my interior. Oh, I'm also lowering the car, hopefully by the end of the month so I can cruise a bit. I know if i post my pics now, everyone will flame me for not dropping the car, and I don't feel like installing springs (sitting in my garage) on stock shocks just so the car will look better. Rather do the suspension once PROPERLY rather than doing it bit by bit. Should have just ordered coil overs dammit!!! Still waiting on 4 shocks, rear camber correction bushings, rear strut tower brace. Know of anything else that may tighten up my chasis, aside from sway bars?

Silver and blue are my 2 favorite colors for the s13, although they are kinda played out. Maybe a medium silver, like a dark grey, but not too dark, know what i mean?

My buddy was almost in tears when the oil went through the motor and his "Betsy" was brought back to life. His family is the original owner, and he grew up w/that car, has lots of sentimental value to him, I scolded him good about maintenance on vehicles, hope he learned his lesson.
