Right you are sir, as confirmed by Shane. I'm a huge McLaren F1 fan though. I wouldn't care in the least if a Bugatti passed me.

I'd be looking at this backside!!!

I personally don't see anything ugly over here.

nope nothing ugly about that!

I hate the two-tone front. It looks like some sort of insect. That's just me though. My favorite "Supercar" is the Nissan R390 GT1. Coming in a close second is the Ferrari F50. What can I say? I love the 90's.

Sorry for going off-topic on your already off-topic thread but...

Has anyone else noticed that the 90-93 Q45 is faster than a brand new V12 BMW 760 around 140MPH?

Don't know about the 94 & ups but I sure owned that BMW by a good car and a half. And that was with the windows open (BMW had em closed).

I would madly be intimidated if I got beat in a V12.

Don't those show like 180 on the speedometer? I know the E39 740's showed 160. I love showing people that the numbers on mine go to 160 as well.

We've always known the 90-93 Q's were beasts above 70. That's where they live. As much as I hate to say it though, that Beamer would have spanked you off the line. I got demolished by an A8 a couple of months ago. I caught up and passed him at 75, but I'm not sure if he decided to stop racing at that point. Off the line, I was dusted, fair and square.

Off the line the Q is a dog. It was not geared for that. Although with some serious mods, it launches!

Now 'Wes,

Can a high stall TC be paired with the 4.08 or the Brabham 4.11? I wonder what the launch would be like. Combined with a properly shifting transmission and first gear start TCU, one can only imagine right?

IVe driven both. high stall is better IMO because the launch is better, and you dont lose any gas mileage... The 4.08 makes it a little zippier but not much.

If a McLaren F1 passed a stopped Veryon at 100 miles per hour and they both immediately accelerated, the Veyron would reach 200MPH first. Blistering speed.
I read once that in a 1/4 race between a Corvette getting a head start and crossing the start line at top speed (170 or so) would lose the 1/4 mile to a top fuel dragster starting normally from a dead stop.

For some reason that blew my mind.

It really blows my mind when they break it down into feet per second. I can't ever imagine anything going that fast. I'd love to see it close up.

Yes, IPT is building me a transmission now. I'm going with a 3200 stall tc.

4:08+3200 stall+150 NOS=

Wes, You'll have to drive it when you come up to Carlisle. See if it's faster than your little BMer!

Sweet. That's going to be a veritable rocket.

I got some really good news today right before I drove to work. I told the Q the news and it responded accordingly. The transmission shifted like a dream. First gear would throw me back in the seat and the RPM's would be at about 4k before shifting into second. Minimal shift shock from 1-2 and 2-3. (as opposed to when it's acting up, first gear will seem really short and shift into second at about 2-2.5k with a big jerk.)

I was flying. I'd leave people at light's scratching their heads muttering "Who was that masked man?" Hi-yo Silver, away!
